One week later: Friday, Oct 25Dear Diary,
Chelsea hasn't spoken to me in a week. I really messed up this time. They weren't dating or anything at the time but I still knew she had a major crush on him. Colby comes around more often to see Chelsea. They made it official in school, at lunch Chelsea stood up on the table and announced to the entire student body, more like to the entire female population. I don't mind, or so I tell myself.
I've hooked up with seventeen guys total in the past six days, nothing past intense make out sessions. Quite frankly, I don't remember any names or appearances but it's all in my job description. The school sluts, Stacie, Ginger, and Lexi, have accepted me as one of their own. Remember them?
Before I could finish the entry, Chelsea stomped into my room, rummaged through my dresser, took out a pink tank top I borrowed and stormed out. Frustrated, I slammed the diary shut and stalked after her. I'm honestly tired of her bullshit. It's not like we did anything anyway.
"Listen" I pushed her against the wall beside her bedroom door "What's your problem? I said I was sorry"
"Janine you used everything I taught you against me" She was shaking with anger.
"I'm the one that got you the date! Do you think he really wanted you? No, he only did it as a favor for me" I stabbed her in the back with my actions and my words twisted the knife.
She looked at me her eyes wide and her mascara was now in a mess down her cheeks. She looked broken, I broke her. I hurt her where it hurt most.
"Don't ever talk to me again" she pushed me and pointed her finger at me "I hate you"
"Chelsea, wait" I grabbed onto her arm but she jerked it out of my grip and slammed her bedroom door in my face.
I pounded my fists against the door for what felt like forever. I didn't realize I was crying until I saw my shirt collar was soaked in tears. I grabbed two fistfuls of my hair and tugged lightly.
"Chelsea please" I sunk onto the ground and hugged my knees against the wall across from Chelsea's room "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I know sorry doesn't cut it but you don't get it, he just needed a favor in return and I-I'm sorry I set up that date I thought it would make you happy"
After mumbling more apologies, I dusted off my sweatpants and jogged back to my room. I checked the time, 6:45am. Time to get ready for school, oh joy.
I showered quickly and dressed in a lilac tank top, tight dark blue jeans, my beige petticoat, and my white converse.
I simply put my hair up in a sock bun. For my makeup, I kept it at a minimal, neutral eyeshadow, matte foundation, and light pink lip gloss.I grabbed my Michael Kors bag and I headed downstairs. I grabbed a buttered bagel from the breakfast bar and packed a muffin for later.
"Janine" Matthew looked up from his newspaper "Chelsea left with that Cody kid, I guess you have to take the subway"
