I woke up the next morning with enough energy and adrenaline to fuel an army. I quickly went through my morning routine and got dressed in the clothes I had picked out last night.

I skipped down to breakfast to find Matthew, Chelsea's brother, in his usual spot: reading the paper at the kitchen table. Without looking up he called me over to him.

"Janine, my sources have told me there's a bit of conflict and that you've been handling it well but I must ask that you keep on track, let them talk badly about you and give honest opinions it's good for the people collecting data." He said and I nodded, wishing him a good morning. "One more thing, it's getting colder outside with winter nearing."

I smiled but didn't bother changing out of my skimpy outfit, mistake number one. I walked outside to find Chelsea getting into a car. A car I recognized as Colby's.

Chelsea, noticing my presence, waved me over. She took the passengers seat and kicked me to the back seat where Gracie was glaring at me.

"Good morning, miss sunshine." I smiled, my tone dripping in sarcasm.

"Don't get too close, wouldn't want to catch whatever STDs you have." She rolled her eyes and moved over to the other window seat.

If anyone else heard what she said, they didn't mention it. I couldn't suppress the jealous feeling that was bubbling at the pit of my stomach. Sure, Chelsea and I had sort of mended our relationship but when two girls fight over one guy, it never goes well.

Janine you know you can't do that, it goes against the experiment, the little voice in my head reminded me.

We arrived at the school promptly and Gracie was the first out of the car, she shot me another glare before slipping across the courtyard. Colby got out next, running to the other side to open Chelsea's door. I was fuming as I pushed open my door, slamming it shut.

I clutched my bag, turning to walk o the school building when someone grabbed my arm and yanked me back.

"Jealousy isn't a pretty color on you, kitten." Colby whispered in my ear, his minty breath hitting my neck.

"I can't say I agree, green goes great with my complexion." I smirked before yanking my arm out of his grip and walking towards the door.

When I walked in everyone grew silent, save for the people whispering rude things about me. I put a huge smile on my face even when they pointed at me and snickered. I finally reached my locker to find the words "WHORE, SLUT, THOT" written across my pale blue locker in big, bold, red letters. I suppressed the tears that threatened to spill, I'm not weak.

Yeah but crying is a sign of humanity, not weakness. My subconscious pitched in yet again.

I quickly put in my combination before slamming my locker open, my sadness turned into anger. I gathered the books I needed before shutting my locker.

I felt about fifty pairs of eyes on me, all itching to see a reaction. Too bad. I simply smiled sweetly and turned to walk to my first class when the spawn of satan decided to show her ugly face.

"Someone might as well spray fake on the locker too." Emma said, her little minions flocking around her.

"That's all you, sweetheart. I know you're a bit slow sometimes but your locker is 303 not 426, next time you want to do some decorating, make sure you do it on your locker." I said and she gasped.
