CHAPTER 13

"Stop dreading dinner with the Sangsters"

"Two dates in one week? Wow I'm impressed." Mom chuckled.

"Mom it's not funny."

"I told you to get one date and you go out and get two? I'm proud."

"You're horrible mama."

She chuckled some more.

"And one of them is a celebrity? Goodness (y:n)!"

I groaned. "Muuuuuuummmmm"

"What will you wear?"

"To which one?"

Mom laughed. "Which one, haha"

I rolled my eyes. "Okay, it's not exactly a date with him mom! Ava, Juli and Mason will be there."

"You still have to look hot —"
she paused "to both of them."

"Thanks mom, because I'm not feeling nervous enough."

"You have to take pictures with him." Mom giggled.

"I'm not going to say it Mom."

"Which one" I heard mom say teasingly.

"Can my mother get anymore childish?"

"Take a picture with Lucas at least then, I guess..."

"Are you playing favorites already?"

"I have my preference."

"Well to answer your question, I don't know what I'll be wearing. Ava and I are going to go shopping today."

"Interesting."

"I know." I turned to look at the clock. Ava would be arriving soon.

"I'll have to let you go mama. I'm about to leave."

"Okay mija. Be safe and pick out something that says hot!"

I shook my head and smiled. "Sure thing mom, love you."

"Love you."

I got up from the couch and reached for my coat. My phone vibrated.

Ava // 2:05 pm
"I'm outside darling."

I stuffed my phone inside my pocket and turned to head out. I didn't bother taking my purse since Ava insisted on paying.

I'm sure going up and down those stairs every day was toning my legs.

As I pushed the door open I saw Ava. She rolled down her window and flashed a smile.
She was wearing a high bun, black skinny jeans, a plum colored hoodie, and a jean jacket. She looked so much younger without her work clothes on.

"Hop on in!" Ava waved me in.

"You look cute." I said, giving her a smirk as I sat down and closed the door.

She chuckled. "I'm just not in my work clothes." She said as she drove off.

"Feeling any better?" Ava said, turning to look at me.

"Knowing this is an attempt to hook us up? No, not really." I said as I raised my eyebrows at her.

Ava smiled as she looked out the windshield.
