Dee's P.O.V
"Landon, why couldn't you have told me this earlier?" I pull away from the apologetic hug as I wipe my tears and sniff my nose.
"I didn't want to hurt you, I'm so sorry," he rubs my back, trying to comfort me with all he had.
The small hole burning into my back thoroughly annoyed me. I know those blue piercing eyes were helpless staring straight at us. I roll my shoulders back, feeling the same burn from the night of my birthday in Las Vegas. I slightly turn my head and shoot him a glare and, suddenly his eyes instantly grazed the floor as if it was the most amusing thing in the world.
I sigh and turning back to Landon who was rubbing his temples. I place my hand on his shoulder and patted it. His eyes shot up and I gave him a warm smile. "You don't have to worry. I forgive you Lan. I just hope you're not hiding anything else from me,"
He looked like he was about to say something but it seemed like he bit his tongue back, not letting whatever it is spill. I didn't point it out and kept smiling. I could always ask another time.
I grabbed his hand and walked back inside the house.
The pit in the bottom of my stomach made me sick.
Something bad was going to happen.
I let go of Landon's hand and watch Kaz death stare him as he walks to the door. I shake my head, disappointed in his behaviour. "You're unbelievable. You know that right?"
Before he could reply, a walked straight by him, not missing the small shoulder bump I purposely did.
Before Landon could step out, I call out to him. "Wait, Lan. Do I call you Landon or Thomas?" I giggle.
He chuckles and shakes his head. "Landon. Sometimes I completely forgot my name's Thomas,"
It was as if he's been waiting for me to ask that question.
"Don't worry Dee. We'll get through this together ok?" he says patting my shoulder.
I nod my head and sigh loudly. "Does dad even know who you actually are?"
Landon complete froze and he went pale. "Uu-mm no,"
I sigh in relief. "Thank god. Otherwise, he'll be out to get you," I look up at him. "So, he only thinks we're really good friends right?"
"Yes, the reason why he hasn't already killed me," he sighs.
Landon's phone starts ringing and he stiffened up. He looked at his caller and said his last goodbyes before running to his car and reversing out of the driveway in seconds
"-Yeah, I'll see you guys later then,"
I turn around and see Jay and Freddie coming my way. I smile and wave bye. "Bye guys!"
They sync their byes back and I shut the door to the now quiet house.
I heard footsteps behind me get heavier. "Good morning princess," Kaz whispers in my ear. I shiver and felt goosebumps along my arms. Why does he have this effect on me?
It's so hard to stay mad at him when even the smallest things he does makes me feel funny.
I turn around and raise my eyebrow. "I thought you were mad at me for talking to my own brother," I said pushing past him. He snorts.
"I don't think losing my shit over it is worth it, baby," he fires back.
I shake my head and smile. "Who are you and what have you done with Kaz-
