Kaz's P.O.V

We load our guns and put them in position as we enter the completely silent building. There was glass everywhere and it was a bloodbath of bodies. Nothing made me angrier to see half my security laying dead on the floor when it was their responsibility to make sure things like this don't happen.

"Text Jay," I whisper to Freddie while he head signals me to cover him just in case the psychotic asshole who did this is still here.

I took charge and looked behind me, making sure I was more than careful.

"He's in the back room with Lucus," Freddie whispers again.

I nod and we carefully move through the dark empty hallways. Once in a while, I tried to recognise a working security camera, but they were all smashed, flashing red.

We enter the back room, nothing but the squawking of our jackets make noise.

Both of us sigh loudly as we look down at Jay sitting with a bloody towel pressured down on Lucus' stomach. "Took you guys long enough,"

"Fucking hell, Lucus!" Freddie shoves his gun down his pants and walks over to them. "What the hell happened?!"

"Peter and Landon happened" Jay's tone made him sound as calm as possible. "They took the money in this safe, Kaz."

My eyes widen. "You've got to be fucking joking," I say laughing like a maniac.

"Go and fucking check," Jay nods his head towards the bookcase which was slide wide open as he removed tweezers out from the first aid kit.

I frowned at Lucus who was ghostly pale and seemed almost lifeless. "We four were the only one who knew the code to that safe! They couldn't have hacked it. It's one of the most secure safes in the world I made sure of that"

Lucus hangs his head down in shame. "Kaz, I need to tell you something,"

I sigh, already knowing what was going to wander out of his mouth with regret. "Lucus.....I trusted you," I kneel down next to him.

"H-He threatens to kill my grandpa. The only person who's supported me through my entire life. I would do anything for him and you guys know that...." Lucus sniffs. "I'm sorry, I let you down, guys. I only made this worse for you guys. It's getting harder to defeat that son of a bitch, Kaz. Peter will go to hell for the things he's done."

"You've got that right." Freddie emerges from the secret hiding place for our safe. "What's done is done-"

My phone started ringing and I looked at the caller.

K - Baby, can't really talk right now-

D - Kaz? You have to come home.

Her voice was trembling and it was hard to hear what she was saying because of how low she was speaking.

I got up to my feet in an instant, grabbing both Jay and Lucus' attention. Something in her tone really stuck my gut.

K - Dee, what happened?

The sound of glass shattering echoes from the other side of the line, shaking me awake of what might be happening.

"Freddie we need to go!" I run my hand through my hair, and out of my face as I scurry my way out of the building. "Shit!"

I could hardly hear what I was thinking with all the silence which was surrounding me. I heard footsteps running behind me, making me run even faster.

"Kaz! Slow down! What's going on-"

"I don't know!" I bash myself against the entrance doors, entering the hidden underground car park. Cars stood still, not knowing that half their owners weren't going to come back to them because they were currently playing corpses on my business' floor.
