~3 weeks later~Kaz's P.O.V
"I'm going be a father in t-minus 7 months and a week," I smile widely as I cross off another day from the calendar on the kitchen wall. The excitement drives adrenaline against my veins as I place the pen down on the counter and continue making breakfast.
I've never been so happy in my life then I have in the past 3 weeks. My mind is constantly running in good destress as I watch Dee slowly bloat up. I've never been so excited about something, so much so that I literally drove to the nearest book store and bought all the books I could find about pregnancy.
I flip the perfectly golden pancake with the spatula while I chuck a few blueberries into my mouth as I keep an eye on the other pan of bacon. As one of the books said, it's really important that Dee has a heavy breakfast in the morning, even if she throws it up, so I've made it a priority to cook for her from now on...Only because I know she will be sneaky and skip meals so she doesn't throw up.
Small arms wrap around my waist and I smile instantly, "Good morning," She chirps lazily as she eyes the gourmet breakfast I was making her.
"Morning, Baby Mama," I joke, turning around to peck her lips. She scoffed at my new nickname for her. "Pancake?" I add quickly before she could tell me off for joking about her pregnant state. I slide the fluffy cake onto a plate, just as her stomach begins to grumble.
"Please," She laughs as she takes the plate out of my hand and grabs the maple syrup out of the cupboard. "And the bacon too please!" She playful demands as she slides onto one of the kitchen stools.
"Fatty," I whisper underneath my breath. My lips twitch upwards as I hear her gasp again.
"Kaz!"
"Yes, Baby Mama?" I smirk at her as I slowly tip the pan of bacon into her plate.
She grabs a small piece of bacon and shoves it into her mouth, making me laugh, "I hope you know that I'm a fatty because of you."
I smile at her as I grab the pans on the stove. "And I will forever be grateful for that achievement."
I place the dirty dishes into the sink, stretching them into my mind to clean later. I grab another plate and walk over to Dee, who was getting busy with her food.
Dee pours maple syrup onto her pancake while I slide another on her plate from my plate. "Coffee?" I offer her as I lift my cup up at her.
"As much as I do want it, caffeine is not good for the baby," she informs me, biting another piece of her...well MY pancake.
"Damn! I think I did read that in one of the books." I sit next to her with the cup of coffee and pick up one of the pregnancy books which were piled up on the counter from last night's reading session.
Dee places her fork down and frowns. "Aren't you going to eat something, Kaz?"
"Watching you eat makes me full," I reassure her as I admire her morning brown eyes.
She puts her hand on her belly and freezes slightly. "You can have mine. I'm not as hungry anymore,"
Dee pushes the plate to me and I shake my head. "Dee, hungry or not. You need to eat more than you usually do. Your feeding to stomachs now," I grab her fork, stabbing it into the cake and bring it to her mouth.
"I can't, Kaz. It's giving me a weird smell now," She shakes her head, pushing my wrist down gently as she covers her mouth. "Ugh, I think I'm going to throw up, again," She jumps off the stool, running down out the kitchen while I jog after her to make sure she reaches the toilet in time.
