By now the sky was growing darker and the stars were flickering. You rested your head on your hand and stared at the fading sun, trying not to let your heartbeat get too out of control.

"It's not good to stare directly at the sun," Qrow said. You shrugged.

"It's pretty though," you responded absently.

"Your choice. I just don't want you to get burned." He took a step forward to stand next to you, his gaze following yours. "If you're going to insist on being reckless, though, I won't let you do it alone." He took a swig from his flask. "Are you feeling alright?" He asked. You nodded.

"So Yang tells me you're a writer," he begins.

"I wanted to take a break from it all, live a simple life without worrying about who I used to be," you say, though you're unsure of what you're trying to say even as you say it. Idiot, you thought, I've been the same me this whole time... what am I talking about? Alright, [Y/N], shut up before you say any more nonsense. "Though I've been feeling rather small lately," you admit. What?! How is that even relevant? What am I saying? You sigh and look up to catch Qrow staring at you. For a minute, you stare back.

"You have silver eyes," he says.

"So you've told me," you reply, brushing back a strand of hair that had fallen into his face, only for it to stubbornly fall back.

"You're destined for more than you can imagine." You give him a questioning look. He laughs. "All in due time."

You still found it hard to believe that this was actually happening. You could never have imagined that you would one day become a fighter like Ruby and Yang, let alone be trained by their attractive uncle. His jet black hair, his perfect jawline, his sexy voice, the way he smirked and flirted with you... It was too much. And he was right here beside you.

Unable to keep yourself from melting, you turned to go back inside. For being outside in the middle of the night you felt awfully heated. "Wait," Qrow stopped you. You paused. "Don't go just yet." With a sigh, you let yourself fall back into him. He smiled. "There's no rush, why not stay here a while?" In that moment you felt so many urges. You wanted to reach for his necklace and pull his face down to yours, you wanted to stand on your tip toes and peck his lips, you wanted to trip him and knock him to the ground...

You could have gotten away with any of those things. Qrow wouldn't turn down a pretty lady like you. But you had much to learn, and you couldn't afford to fall head over heels for this man. Perhaps it was already too late...
