Sighing, you set your pen down, leaning back in your chair. You were trying to write, but your thoughts had wandered more times than you could keep track of. Somehow Qrow managed to sneak his way into every poem you wrote, every thought you had, hell, every breath you took...

You stood up and stepped outside for some fresh air. There were so many things spinning in your head, but it all came back to Qrow. The last few days had been filled with so many changes in your life. You were regularly training with Qrow, getting better each day. But the better you got at fighting, the more difficult it became to focus on writing. And the less you wanted to write. Somehow your desire to write was giving way to some other desire, something buried deep within you.

A bird flew in and perched on a nearby branch. You didn't think anything of it. Out here, you were constantly surrounded by life. Oh, what am I going to do with myself... Qrow Branwen, what are you doing to me?

Qrow looked down at [Y/N]. He felt a bit bad for spying on her, but he had to make sure she was alright. After all, he had told her he was here to protect her.

He found the way she bit her lip in concentration appealing. She was clearly deep in thought. He wondered what about. Qrow was a complicated man. When he wasn't drunk, he had much to contemplate, but he was almost always drunk. And when he was drunk he became nonchalant about most things.

Qrow almost reached for his flask but realized that he didn't have it with him. Not to mention the fact that he was a bird.

Looking at [Y/N], he felt the compelling urge to fly down to her and reveal himself. He felt embarrassed that he had been staring at her for so long. Flirting with girls was one thing, but he couldn't afford to become attached to one. His nieces were already enough of a liability.

Before he became too tempted to act on his urges, he flew away to distract himself with his work.
