Oh how Jay savoured the feeling of Daniel's body pressed close and his arms wrapped around his waist.
It was snug, firm and the closest to being intimate as he could get away with. And how he loved it.
Now, sitting across the table and openly starring at Daniel, the feeling of their proximity still lingered like a buzz under the blond's skin.
Zoe drooled, flashing her boobs in an open, red shirt. She positioned herself right beside Daniel, allowing him to stare down it. The anger flared in the blond, hot and painful and eased into a simmering envy. He looked away, unable to look, and took a sip of something in a red solo cup. Booze washed over his tongue and he grimanced slightly. He'd never liked the taste.
He took another peek at Daniel, the brunett's eyes awkwardly darting between the front of Zoe's shirt and the far wall.
Suddenly the sloshing beer in the solo cup looked extremely enticing. He downed it, licking the rest of it off his lips. He had a high tollerance anyway.
One of the thug trio, skinny-faced and squinty eyed, laughed, patting Jay on the back roughly. "Hey! You're pretty good!"
Jay shrugged, half-surprised the guy had noticed him. He started babbling on about all the broken hearts he'd left behind and the hot girlfriend who couldn't make it. Jay listened but kept his eyes on Daniel.
He was here, with Daniel, but the brunette was so far away.
Zack tried to wrap his arm around Mira but she shrugged away, pointing at his bashed lip angrily. "I can't stand going anywhere with a mindless meat head! All you do is fight!"
"Please, Mira. . ." he said, his voice softened and slurring from being drunk. She pushed him away again and started chatting with Zoe. Zack visibly pouted and mournfully knocked back another drink.
The smoke swireled around in the dimly lit room and a bag of chips was passed around. The little side-converstations drifted off and when Jay was about to groan in frustration, the Zoe girl jumped up excitedly.
"Oh! I've got an awesome idea!"
"What is it?" Mira asked, pushing away the red fly-aways from her usual bun.
Zoe didn't try to hide the glance at Daniel. "Seven minutes in heaven."
Mira rolled her eyes. "Really?" but then the thug trio and Zack nearly shot to their feet in swift agreement. Jay perked up at the suggestion then his stomach dropped away. He might get the chance to kiss Daniel but then would everyone else.
"What's that?" Daniel asked, confused. His dark eyes widened in question and the frown that settled on his face made Jay look away. That's really cute.
Zoe blinked then a sweet, almost endearing smile spread across her face. "It's where everyone gets in a circle. We all take turns spinning a bottle and whoever it lands on has to go inside a dark closet. They both get to spend seven minutes doing whatever they want."
"Oh!" Daniel's eyes light up. "So you go in the closet to get to know eachother a little better. . . ?"
The glimmer in the girl's eyes turned preditorial. "Yeah, you get to know someone reaaally well. . ."
One of the thug trio laughed goodnaturedly. "I'm surprised you haven't played this game! I thought you'd done it all!"
Daniel shrugged and gave a sad kinda smile. "I haven't had much friends."
Everyone in the room looked at him funny. The gorgeous guy had to be yanking their chains.
"Well it doesn't matter!" Mira protested, breaking the silence. "I don't want to play. What's so fun about that game anyways?"
"C'mon," Zoe whined.
A vote was cast: everyone outvoted Mira. A space was cleared on the table top and an empty, brown beer bottle placed at the center. A small, tight broom closet had it's few contents taken out and the snickering of the trio and lewd glances at the girls suggested many things.
Jay hoped that the trio would get one another so they could cry in that closet together.
The game was started with Zoe who eagerly spun the bottle. It spun dramatically and slowed. It crawled closer to Daniel and Jay felt like he was going to have a heart attack. Zoe was good at this. She willed it to stop with lazer eyes but the bottle creeped past and snook over to Zack.
His eyes widened and turned to Mira, whining, "Mira . . . ! I don't want to go!"
She turned away dramatically, crossing her arms. "You wanted to play this game."
A vien bludged in Zoe's forhead and she sighed. She was about to protest when the trio sniggered, hauling up the whimpy Zack and Zoe to the closet.
They started the counter. Mira pulled her gaze away and sipped her drink. She blinked a lot and cleared her throat a few times. Jay could see the swirling cloud of jealousy forming and he edged away, feeling the dark tendrils of her bad mood clasping around him. He moved and sat beside Daniel.
Zoe was finally gone.
Jay pushed another cup to his lips and sighed. Daniel looked up and the bright smile that crossed his face, lighting up the room.
"What are you drinking?" Daniel asked. "Oh, you want me to try it? Sure."
He grabbed the cup from Jay and tasted it. The brunette's gentle lips pressed against the red plastic cup, right where Jay's had been an instant ago. Jay hummed in dim lided pleasure - until Daniel spit the beer right in his face.
The boy threw the cup to the floor, grabbing his neck and choking. "That's alcohol!" Jay flew up in a panic, the beer dripping from his face irrelivant to the choking Daniel. "You should have told me!"
Daniel gagged and his face turned pale. He breathed the next words in horror. "I've never drank before. Mom's going to be so dissapointed!"
The trio burst out laughing and Mira frowned.
Jay felt the fluttering alarm inside him subside. He calmed Daniel, pressing his fingers to his chest. The brunette stared up, dark eyes wide. He blinked, rapidly. Then gulped.
"Yeah. Sorry," Daniel laughed. That's when he noticed the blond's face dripping with beer. "Oh my god! I'm sorry! We should go to the bathroom to wash it off, there's still a few minutes left until Zach and Zoe's turn is over."
Jay then nodded, clutching his half-wet shirt away from him. This was his chance.
That little, dark part of him squealed and writhed.
He could imagine himself, pinning the boy against the wall and feeling him up. Pressing his palms to his chest, running up and down smooth skin. Daniel begging and breathing dirty words into his ears.
His fantasies were cut off by Daniel's long fingers wrapping around his own and dragging them off into the restroom.
It was time for something a little dasterdly.
