I and Chris headed for the high school. We told Casey that we were going hunting. She didn't come as she hnd gone with Chris just a day or two before.

I had chosen the back of the high school as it was a dark alley. No humans would be able to see us, by chance there were any.

"Oh...so its not just one," I heard the lady say as we reached.

"Are you one of us?" Chris asked.

"I think you know it already," she said. Yeah. She was a vampire too.

"So when did you all move here?" She asked.

"When did you?" Chris asked instead.

"Well, I asked first. I need an answer," she said.

"Few months. What about you?" I asked.

"Years. I'm surprised. There's been no death in this area."

"And there won't be any. Unless you do," Chris said. He knew that we had to convince her to let us stay.

"Hmm...so where do you get yours from?" She was talking about blood.

"Animals," Chris answered. Very few of us fed on animals. Human blood was preferred by most.

"Okay. So. You. Do. Not. Feed. On. Humans. At. All," she said laying emphasis on each word.

"No we don't," I said. I guess why she was concerned.

"Why do you care?" I asked.

"None of you business," she snapped. "Well, I guess I don't have to ask you to leave. But. One death. Even one. Then you will have to leave," she said.

"Deal," Chris said.

"Wait," Chris said.

"What do you feed on?"

"Here and there," she said and left.

"Okay. That was weird. I was expecting it to go....bad...much worse than this at least," Chris said.

"Yeah," I replied.

This lady was weird. Obviously. She fed on humans yet she was concerned about the people in this town. What was with her? Moreover, she was buying fruits at the supermarket. Was she living with a human?

"Lets go hunting," Chris said.

"Didn't you go hunting a day it two before?"

"Did I?" Chris said with a smile. This guy...

"How's it going with Arial?"

"Is there any point Chris? She's a human."

"She is," Chris agreed. "So now what are you going to do about her?"

"I don't know man. We are not even friends."

"Cool," he said.

"Cool?"

"Play it cool?"

"I don't know how I'm going to face her knowing that I kinda have feelings for her," I said. I would look at her in a completely different way.

Chris nodded his head.

I never even dreamt of liking a girl. That too a human. I had lost all my loved ones. It was the worst time I guess. Cas and Chris have been my family since then. I wouldn't even survive so long without them. I was really grateful to them. For everything they had done.

Loving a human meant losing them. I don't think I have the capacity to bear death again. I would eventually move away from this place. Leave Arial behind. I'll have different identity. Different background. She will never be able to find me.

Chris and I hunted for quite sometime.

Then we headed back home.

Casey was sitting and playing on the piano. I went and sat beside her.

"You back," she said.

"Yup, my girl," Chris said.

"Nic can you play the new one," she asked.

"New one?"

"Yeah. That day you came and started playing. Remember?"

"Oh...yeah," I said.

I started playing the song. I didn't know earlier what had inspired me. Now I knew. It was Arial. I just realised it.

I played the song. It was one of my best music ever.

"You gonna release it?" Casey asked. "It'll be your best on ever."

"I think no." This was something precious. It was a memory. Of her.

"Why not?"

"Just no," I said.

"Not even gonna wrote the lyrics?" Chris asked.

"I might," I said.

"Let me know," Casey said. She had always loved my music. Sometimes we used to keep these dinner parties. Just the three of us. I played and sang while they danced.

Dinner? Blood. We bought some blood when we went for a hunt and kept it in the fridge.

I played some old songs. I had got few lines of Arial's song. Yeah. It was her song.

I went up to my room to write it down immediately.
