『 CHAPTER 20 』

THE WEREHOG

AMY'S POV

"Chip? You're name is Chip? T-That's weird." I said as I followed him.

"Why are you here?" He asked as I bowed my head and remove the hood of my red cloak.

"His highness of the Kingdom of knowledge sent me here." I said as he stopped.

"You know, I keep on wondering why can you understand my language. No one can talk to me in a proper conversation. Just only you." He said as I looked at him with confused eyes.

"What do you mean? I can understand you clearly. Do you mean no one can understand your language?" I asked as my palm started to sweat, I almost drop the basket that Tails gave me.

He nodded in response as there was a long silence between us.

"You're kidding me right? Am I going to live with you here in the old mansion?" I asked Chip as he nodded in response. I touched the doorknob but I guess I broke it. The mansion is too old and dusty plus the surrounding around us are dead trees and grass. The moon's light is the only light I have.

"I think you should push the door." He said as he flew up and leave me alone in here. I just do what he said, I pushed the door effortlessly and the two door fell on the wooden dusty floor. So that makes me cough.

Ugh, just how old is this place?

When I walked forward and looked around what's inside the the mansion. Old furnitures and dusty pictures... Full of old portraits that are probably older than my mom.

"H-H-Hello?" I shivered in fear and my voice only echoed in the whole mansion. I'm starting to have goosebumps and give up to Tails' task that he gave me. But I can't because he joined me and the others to rebel against Mephiles.

You cannot go back.

I jerked away when I heard a loud growl like a wolf and I crazily looked around but no one is there. I sighed in relief, removing the cloak around me and put down the basket that I was carrying.

"Alright now! I'm done playing games with you! Show up yourself or I'll smash this mansion down!!" I yelled and summoned my hammer but no one responded to my word... So that made me frown and drop my hammer.

I checked the basket that Tails gave me and delicious chili dogs that makes me happy brighten my day.

But I don't eat spicy foods. Well, just a small bite but I cannot really finish the whole food on my own unless there's a drink.

I sighed, but to my surprise a big green eyes glued on mine.

Who... Who the hell is that thing?

"Now don't be afraid, I don't have bad intentions to do with you. Tails send me here to give this to you." I said and showed him the basket of chili dogs.

I drop the basket when he showed up. I thought it was a hedgehog or a different kind of species but seriously? A W-Werehog?

"Kyaaahhhhhh!" I hurriedly run for the exit but the big werehog blocked the door as I kneel in front of him.

"P-Please! D-Don't hurt me!" I sutter as I feel his claws on my head. I looked up and closed my eyes again... Holy Chaos! H-His teeth is so big like it can kill you in just one stare!

I looked up slowly as I see a pair of jade green eyes. It shows like he's not a bad hog at all. I was taken a back when the werehog scoffed and move away, showing the exit in front of me. I slowly stand up and looked at him with a glare.

"Hah! Do you think you can call me weak after I yelled!? Sorry sir werehog that I judge you so easily... But to be fair I know you judge me too as a scaredy cat." I move closer to him as I rubbed his head but it only make him growl. I get the red Hood that Silver gave me and handed the basket full of chili dogs that Tails gave me to this blue werehog.

I dont know what to do anymore.

"I was sent here to do my own task... I'm just being fair to Tails. So you're his friend? A werehog. Don't show nasty and harsh attitudes to me or you'll die. Don't try and challenge me." I said as I looked at him and we made an eye contact. I looked at his hands balled into fist.

"I-I'm Amelia Rose... The Blessed Rose from the kingdom of Rose." I said to him and the werehog looked at me with wide eyes and I rolled my eyes.

"Eat it and stick up with me if you can... I can stay in this place for years." I said seriously.

"And I mean it... For Tails' sake and the others... I'll do this mission to fight Mephiles." I sighed.

"I-I'm...  The werehog of the kingdom of Wind." He said as I looked at him wide eyes.

"You can talk!?" OMG THEN WHY DIDN'T HE SPEAK UP BEFORE?!

"Of course I can talk!" He growled at me as my face brighten.

"That's great!" I smiled at him as he looked at me with confusion.

"Because you can tell me what's all in this place. Why this place is called cursed and-"

"Why would I tell you and talk to you like we're close friends? You're a stranger and I don't know why my friend sent you in here in the first place. It's no use if Tails tried harder... Nothing can change this kingdom."

"You easily give up." I said

"Perfect! I am happy I can help one hog to another because the Smart Prince chose the right hog to help him." I said as I waved my both hands and draw a big circle in the floor.

"What are you doing?" He asked in panicked voice as I smiled at him.

"I am the next lady of the lady of the lake." I said as he held my both hands, stopping me from what I'm doing.

"Stop doing that." He said and just in two seconds... He run fast like a wind and I sighed.

Just one week.

One week is enough for us to leave this stupid place, I need to know him better and do this mission as fast as I can.

I wonder what's going on with the others and Tails.

He said his friend is the only hope and our chance to defeat Mephiles. Then if that's true... I'll stick up with this werehog no matter what.

Just wait. A little time is not enough, and I have this bad feeling. I don't know why.

Silver... What the heck is going to happen in the future?

I have this mission of mine that I need to do. At the right time when I become the last lady of the lake... It is my destiny to guide the one who deserved the sword of Excalibur. I know where is the sword hiding... But I don't know who will be the one to remove the sword on the rock.

Could it be him?
