SHADOW'S POV

"What do you want to talk about?" I asked her as I grip her closer to me and I feel her soft body.

"I give up." She said that makes me protest and growl.

"About what?" I asked her.

"Do you think this is funny? You're planning to kill your own brother Lancelot!" She said angrily as I looked at her.

"So what if I kill him? He's the reason why the nine kingdoms are suffering in his hands... I cannot forgive him what he did to us in the past."  I said as she cupped my face using her hands.

"L-Let's forget about our past Lancelot." She said as my ears twitched when I always heard from her mouth calling me in my knight name.

"I won't let go... I'll fight for the sake of the others. No one can stop me." I said as I looked at her in the eyes.

"Why are calling me in that name?" I asked her.

"I waited for the right time to avenge you and my citizens who suffered from my brother's hands. And I will die if I-"

"I can't let you die Shadow." She said that makes me smile.

"Do you love me?" I asked her and there's a long silence before she speak.

"I'm doing this for the sake of the others... I can give myself up to him Shadow. That's the reason why love is forbidden in our land right? Because he wants me. If he get what he wants, I'm sure this foolishness can be over. I don't like seeing the others dying for love. Everyone could disobey his commands in exchange of death." She said that makes me stop.

I pulled her hand as she and I made our way to the garden.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" I yelled in anger. So she's really into it huh? If she die, she cannot be ressurected.

"You should know better that there are better ways to defeat Mephiles than giving you up." I said as she shrugged her head.

"This is the best way defeating Mephiles, no one would get hurt if I give up Shadow."

"Try to give yourself to him... Or I'll have his head." I said. Maria hates violence, and she hates it if I tainted my hands with my brother's own blood.

"Why are you doing this Shadow? Can't you see that -"

"I can't see you unhappily spending your time with him." I said.

"I make myself as a knight to have my revenge and kill my brother. No one will get in my way Maria. No one can stop me even you... This time I'll have my own power to fight him." I said and pulled her closer to me and claimed her lips. It hurts me that she keep on pushing me hard but I still can't let go.

"Stop this Shadow!" She cried that made me stop and I looked at her. She's crying because of me.

"Even if Love doesn't exist in this land. I can disobey Mephiles' rule. I can make a lot of sins to have you Guinevere." I said as I leave.
