As he felt the hardwood floor beneath him he sighed, He really was in (y/n)'s living room. He felt a strong pain grow in his head and prepared himself for more. He, however, wasn't prepared for the agony hitting him. His legs grew weak and he fell to his knees "Fuck" he hissed trough clenched teeth. He trembled as the pain wouldn't stop. Ben crouched down low and whimpered quietly _that's the stupidest thing I've ever done_ he thought, annoyed by himself. He flicked his ears as he heard footsteps coming closer. He hesitantly looked up.

As you heard a low, static whimper you knew Ben was back. You hurried into the living room where Ben crouched, seemingly in great pain. "B-Ben, what happened?" you asked worried. He held his head and gave you a crooked grin "my own stupidity..." He sighed, his voice heavily distorted, and layed his head on the floor "I teleported all the way back from the forest at the southern edge of the city" he murmured 

Your eyes widened "Th-that's at least 10 miles!" you gasped, making him whimper louder "It felt less..." he whined "and please don't talk so loud..." You calmed and sat next to him, gently rubbing his back "D-Don't touch me... I-I c-could snap" he whimpered shakily and looked at you, his eyes flickering between blue and red.

You nodded and moved back a bit. "I'm fine I guess..." he murmured after a while and sat up. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that" he rubbed his eyes. You moved closer to him and smiled "Well... at least you know your limit now" you chuckled, making him elbow your side lightly "You can call yourself lucky I'm so weak now, otherwise I would've hurt for real" He muttered as you held your side.

You began to tremble lightly. Ben chuckled slightly "Don't worry, I highly doubt I can even stand right now... I can't hold back anymore because I'm to weakened to fight my instincts, but I can do anything either" You carefully sat in front of him "What would you do If you could?" He winced and looked away "Many things... many awful things... but to put it simple... kill you..." He bit his lip. You flinched and crawled back.

He sighed and looked at you, his eyes deep blue "I was thinking of just staying away... not returning to you, because I know I'll only cause trouble... but I couldn't... now, seeing you so afraid, I regret returning..." He whimpered. You hastily crawled over to him "Please don't regret it, I like you, I really do, but Ben, you're a demon, isn't it just natural for me to fear you?" 

You took his hands and smiled. He sighed and his eyes turned red again. "I'm not a demon, I'm a spirit, demons have bodies, I'm just a manifested soul" You giggled "I don't really care what exactly you are. But alone the fact you're not human is enough to know you're neither meant to exist in this world, nor should I trust you. But, oh wonder, you exist and I really like and trust you" 

Ben smiled widely and hugged you. At first you tensed, but soon relaxed and hugged him back "Thank you (y/n)" he purred "Thank you for giving me a home and somebody to lean on" You chuckled as he gently squeezed you "You're welcome" you giggled and closed your eyes.
