You were a normal student with a passion for video games. Since the summer holidays began in the next few days you decided to get a new game for your old Nintendo 64 console. Your last game, Pokémon stadium, grew boring after 6 years.

You drove to the local secondhand store, hoping to find your favorite game, the legend of Zelda, Majoras mask. As you entered the shabby and old-looking building you noticed the lack of color. The dark gray painted walls matching the dusty brown shelves. Everything was gloomy and didn't seemed... costumers friendly, to say the least. The cashier, a old lady, blinked a crooked smile at you

"what are you looking for child?" she asked in a raspy voice. You looked around "do you have any video games?" You asked even though you weren't hopeful anymore. But to your own surprise the woman nodded and took out a small box from under the counter "What console?" the lady asked as she searched in the box.

You curiously tilted your head and walked up to the counter "Nintendo 64" you answered. The woman behind the counter hummed a response and took out a gray cartridge "Ah.. I see.. I got one game" She said and handed you the cartridge. Someone had written >Majora< on it with black permanent marker, but otherwise it looked perfectly fine.

"how much you want for it?" you asked and fished your wallet from your pocket but the woman shook her head "Nothing child. You can have it for free" She smiled sadly, her small blue eyes fixed on the cartridge "you'll give him the love he deserves" she murmured quietly. Her phrasing confused you, but you ignored it, to happy not only to find the game first try, but getting it for free.

On your way home you had the game and some other things you bought next to you. You had an unsettling feeling about the game. _maybe it's broken.. that's why I got it for free.._ you thought.

Back at home you quickly got your N64-console and inserted the cartridge. The game started and seemed to be perfectly fine. You looked at the save-files. There was one file called >BEN<. You normally listened to your gut feeling, and it told you to get rid of the file. But you remembered the sad look on the womans face. ">give him the love he deserves< she said... It probably belonged to her grandson..." You thought out loud. You sighed and looked at the stats "He came pretty far... why did he stop?" you asked yourself.

Curiously you entered the file. The screen went black for a couple of seconds, leading you the the conclusion the game is broken, but then the screen flashed white and the game regularly started. Confused you noticed you weren't were the start screen told you. You should be at the Stone Tower Temple, but instead you were in Clock town. You noticed the NPC's were missing. You sighed "Its broken..." you murmured frustrated and were about to turn the console off, as a text popped up. ">Wanna play with me? Yes/No<" you read out aloud. the text gave you chills.

You thought about your choices when you noticed you couldn't select >No<. You deeply breathed in and out. _I've never read this text... were is it from?_ you asked yourself. You selected >Yes<, your curiosity taking over. The screen faded to white and a new text box popped up "You're the first one...". You felt it running down your spine coldly. _This isn't right... the Game is broken!_ your hand reached for the Off-switch, but a new box popped up "Don't run!..." you were trembling and gulped. You quickly switched the console off, but the screen stayed. then the text changed "You shouldn't have done that". The console turned off, leaving you trembling "what's wrong with this game?" you quietly whispered.

You've heard of a >Game myth< when you were younger, something about Majoras mask. _Maybe I got a ROM-hacked version_ you tried to calm yourself. you sighed and picked up the N64, putting it next to your Laptop. "I'll google it and then go to sleep..." you murmured. You started your Laptop and looked at the clock. 9.37pm. You opened your browser and typed >Majoras mask myth<, but as you entered your search, you had a bad feeling about it. There was just one Result, the Cleverbot website.

You hesitantly clicked on it. You breathed deeply as Cleverbot wrote the first thing...
