Truth

Ben sighed and played with the collar of his green tunic "You know... I never thought you'd actually listen to me, not to mentions offering me to stay..." he murmured with a smile "I think it was right to choose you instead of use you.." he whispered and sighed.

You tilted your head and folded your arms "Mind telling me what you mean?" Ben sighed "Let me be honest, I used people and their suffering for my entertainment. After years of repeated torture I turned more and more wicked and sinister..." He rubbed his eyes "I played with the thought of playing with you, not showing I'm there, until you'd get creeped out by my actions or play an own file... " He looked at you with a crooked smile "It's easy to make people obedient when they fear you."

You shivered lightly "And what made you think it would be better not to play with me?" He sighed "I was able to hear you inside the game. You seemed nice, so I thought it would at least be worth a try..." He yawned and you noticed his sharp teeth, making you flinch. He must have noticed it, since he hurried to close his mouth. "Heh heh..." he held his neck "sorry" he shrugged

You shook your head. "Somehow nothing on you surprises me anymore" you chuckled "Uh... but you should worry about some things" he murmured and turned to you. "And what?" you asked and instinctively moved back. "I can generate electricity and shock you" he smirked and gently layed his hand on your knee. You flinched as you felt a mild shock. He chuckled "And I... uh... ah Nothing" he shook his head. 

Suspicious you crawled closer to him. He rolled his eyes "Your curiosity is amusing" he chuckled and turned away. "Tell me what you wanted to say. When I know it I can judge your actions better" you plead. He shook his head "the only thing you'll judge is that I'm a monster" he hissed. You flinched as his voice distorted more often. _His voice echoes more when he's upset_ You noted silently.

"Ben. please" you murmured and sat right next to him. He flinched "And you guarantee me not to scream or run?" He asked annoyed. You nodded making him smirk a bit "You're naive" he sighed. "I am not!" you whined making him chuckle "Oh.. you are" He grinned, his unusual sharp teeth blinking. "I killed (y/n). And not only the NPC's in my game... and I'm cannibalistic " he said calmly, making you tremble. 

He gently but firmly layed a arm around your shoulder, preventing you from getting away. A soft whimper left your lips making Ben sigh "(y/n), If I would have wanted to kill you, I would have done it by now. Trust me, I do not want to harm you" he whispered as he gently lent against your shoulder. You trembled less and slightly nodded "you swear not to hurt me?" He nodded without hesitation "I swear it by my soul and humanity"

He gently hugged you and sighed "I never thought I could be so nice to someone" he chuckled. You layed your arms around him and sighed "I can't stand people suffer... and you suffered a hell more, than someone like you deserves" He tensed "I don't deny I deserved to be in the cartridge..." he murmured "But I admit I suffered more than anyone..."
