Everyone had started cooling off and calm down after the big shake up, it was bearable to walk in the halls and my friends.

So, after school I go straight home to my house, I greet the housekeeper Mariah, then I go up to my room, I really haven't spend much time in it yet. But, that's not my fault. I got it from my momma.

I throw myself in my bed and and breathe out in exhaustion before letting my mind wander off to the boy from last night. Fogarty, he was different, he seemed like he didn't like me but he was easy talking to. Plus he's hot! Like for real! And he's a Serpent that's definitely a con.

It was now Friday, I had detected some activity in the Southside, another party tonight, I decided to go. So, I got up and got ready for it.

I let my fingers wander over the black leather jacket with the snake on its back. "No, not yet" I whisper to myself and pass my jacket.

I decide for a plain dress all dark blue, it was a nice dress, not too much or too little.

When I got to the party, it wasn't like that other one, it hadn't been wild and the party vibes weren't really there. So, I left early.

As I'm walking on the streets in Southside—on my way home. I get a text from my mom saying, she's in New York for another 'quick' job and that she would be home in 4 days. She didn't even wait to tell me, she just leaves. That's what she does.

Besides, I think I'm starting to like the Southside, I know she will get mad, if I tell her that. Suddenly, I hear grunts and the sound of punches being thrown?

I stop walking and sigh, should I check it out and seek for trouble or keep walking? I sigh before walking towards the sounds.

I see a small group of people beating up another on the ground and I sigh. "Hey!! Back off" I yell and walk up to them, my tone surprised everyone—even the victim.

The small group ran off, they actually ran off. I scoff and the victim let his head fall back against the wall and he turned to face me.

"You?" He said in slightly anger and exhaustion. "Happy to see you too, Fangs" I retort, before rolling my eyes.

"Now, what is your pretty face doing in a garbage place like this?" I ask playfully and squad in front of him and clap my hands together.

Fangs kept his blank face and were obviously determined not to answer. I sigh and I lift my hand up and wipe some blood off his lips.

As I did so—he moved his head the opposite way of my hand—but I still wiped the blood away.

"Come with me, stubborn Serpent" I say and hold my hand out for him to take as I stood up.

Fangs face showed he didn't trust me or wanted me there, but he took my hand anyways and I helped him up.

"You Serpents really are those types who gets into fights, aren't you?" I comment and Fangs limps as he tried to get away. I put his arm around my shoulders, to help him walk instead, and he let me help.

"They should stay away from us then" Fangs argued and grunted in pain. "Yeah—suppose they should" I say with a shrug.

"Do you have somewhere nearby we can go?" I ask and he nods. "Then lead the way" I say and he looks down at me raising an eyebrow.

"Why?" He asks suspiciously. "Just helping a Serpent out" I answer with a chuckle and help him and ignoring his stubborn ass protests.

As we got through a trailer park, we continued to a trailer, I opened the door and as we got in, Fangs sat down on the couch and as he sat properly, he let himself lay down in pain.

"Do you have first aid kit?" I ask and look around. "Bathroom, door on the left" Fangs says with a grunt and I nod before going to get the first aid kit.

As I came back Fangs was unconscious. So, I decided to clean his cuts and fix him up—but, I still need to see how bad the damage on his ribs are.

So, I slowly take off his shirt and I was stunned for a moment at his abs and the nice lines of his six pack. Damn! He's still gorgeous as hell.

"Well, aren't you something for sore eyes, huh?" I mutter with a chuckle, before I notice the deep cut on his side.

I curse and stitch him up—which took a while as I tried not to vomit all over the floor—then I place small stripes of plaster over it and leave him shirtless on the couch.

4 hours later he woke up with a jolt and I was busying myself with scratching off my white nail polish.

"Ah—you're alive" I comment and look at him with a smirk. The brunette haired Serpent looked around confused and then looked down only to see he was shirtless.

"Why am I shirtless?" He asks and I raise an eyebrow. "Is that really your first question?" I ask and cross my arms.

"Right now—Yeah" He retorts and tries to sit up, but I hurry over and push him back down. "Don't sit up yet—I had to stitch you up" I order and remove my arm from his build chest and ignore the look he gave me.

"You're a really bossy one, aren't you?" He grunts in pain and I chuckle. "Runs in the family" I remark and sit on the edge of the table in front of Fangs.

"Fangs—is there anyone you want me to call? Or get?" I ask carefully. "No, not yet" Fangs says with a grunt as he shifts.

Silence settles between us and the only thing heard in the room is his unsteady breathing and my sighs. "Why did you help me? A Serpent?" He shoots at me with suspicion.

"I didn't, I helped a guy in medical need" I say and smirk a little. "I didn't need your help. I could've handled myself" he argues.

"Well, if that's what you believe—then fine" I say and shrug carelessly. "You shouldn't be out there—getting in fights, at least not alone. Some day, no ones gonna be there to help you" I say and stand up and I feel the following pair of eyes on me.

Fangs scoffs and doesn't meet my eyes. Then he shoots up after a while and stumbles a bit as he tries to walk, I put my hands on his stomach and shoulder to help steady him.

"You got it?" I ask as I slowly pull my hands back from his toned stomach. Fangs nods and I let go properly—he takes a step forward and wobbles a bit, so I help him again.

"Just, take it slow" I say and he takes a step forward with my support and he starts walking properly. "Will you get in trouble for this?" Fangs asks as he walks properly around without help.

"For helping a Southside Serpent" Fangs finishes in a grunt and I chuckle. "No—of course not" I say and laugh.

"Do you need anything?" I then ask and Fangs stops walking and his shoulders tense up and he turns to me with. Anger in his eyes?

"I don't need anything— I just want to make something clear, I don't owe you anything—I owe you nothing. And I don't want anything to do with you. A little bit of advise—stay out of the Southside, or next time you're the one to get hurt" Fangs preached and looked down at me with threatening eyes.

"Fine" I say and get my jacket and then walk towards the door. "Suit yourself, Serpent boy" I call out and leave his trailer.
