Enough was enough at columbine. I cannot stress this enough. GUN CONTROL IS LONG OVERDUE.
Arming teachers is not the answer. Increased school security is not the answer.
A BAN ON MILITARY STYLE WEAPONS IS THE GODDAMN ANSWER.
This is not a two sided issue. This is an issue of life and death, and I know what side I'm on. In our schools, on our streets, in our everyday lives.
I live in a good, safe community. A mostly WHITE community. And yet still, I have picked sheep casings out of my front lawn.
This is not an issue of race, or class, anyone is susceptible. Anyone can carry a gun. Why the fuck is that?
There are people with real mental health issues in this country, and we blame them for things they cannot change? We advocate for the death penalty, we say the problem is people, not guns?
Why aren't we blaming the legislators who CAN change the way this country works?
Guns are the problem. If change doesn't happen today, more lives will be lost tomorrow. And hell, we don't know who's they'll be.
