Hey,
Things are crazy right now! I'm busy organising some fundraiser at my school, where we're putting on a production of The Lion King. It's going to be fun!
This chapter is dedicated to @hungryhemmings because well, she is awesome. I had a lovely conversation with her a few days ago and I thought, why not give her a dedication? Haha.

Chapter Six - Aaron
"I'm telling you, we won't need the auditions!" He yelled down the line, pacing back and forth in his room. One of his hands ran through his hair, pulling the ends slightly from frustration. "No, I'm not adamant on Henry coming back to the band! I know -"
Aaron couldn't help but groan as he listened to Mickey yell back at him through the phone. He knew that Mickey wanted the best for their band yet without Henry, he became in charge through order of age and it was clear that he was taking it seriously. Too seriously.
"Mickey, I know we need -" He tried to speak, failing to finish his sentence. Irritated, he threw himself against his bed as he attempted to block Mickey out. "Would you let me finish a sentence?"
He sighed, finally hearing nothing but Mickey's breathing at the end of the line.
"Thank you," He said, "now, what was I saying? I may have found the singer..."
Automatically, he heard Mickey's yelling, asking if Aaron was certain or not about his singer.
"I need to ask her!"
The rest of their conversation was just about the song Aaron had written, naming it 'Little Bird' like the Ed Sheeran one. It was nearly finished. Ever since Henry and his sister had left practice, Aaron had worked on the song continuously that night, especially since he had found his muse: Cat.
When Henry had called her by her full name, it fit like a jigsaw. Suddenly the night had replayed in front of Aaron, the blocks of houses vivid in his mind and although he had wondered this many times when he had replayed that night, he never realised it until band practice. Henry lived there, meaning that the girl he had heard singing was Cat. It made sense - Henry had a perfect voice so Cat had to have inherited that also.
The only problem was approaching her.
Aaron had tried the following day when he tutored her, giving her hints as he figured that by being blunt, he would frighten her off. Instead of getting an answer, he was bombarded by a game of 20 Questions, in which he learnt a lot about her.
Cat hated being called by her full name because it made her feel ancient - her words, not his. The only exception was her mum, since she was stubborn. He asked her about her blindness as well and was left curious about her reply.
"It's not as bad as I would have believed it to be," she said, "you're not left with a void of nothingness like people would expect. Everything is just really blurry. It's like seeing dots of colours."
After that, he had completely forgotten about the mystery singer and focused on her blind past. He knew her father had died in the same accident that had left her blind yet he never knew what the accident was. She hadn't told him and he understood why.
"Listen, I have to go to work." Mickey was finally concluding the phone call. "I'll talk to you tomorrow."
With that, he hung up, leaving Aaron to release the breath he had been holding in for so long. He threw the phone on his bed so he could use his hands to cover his pained eyes. Frustration gave him a massive headache, which affected the entire top half of his skull. They didn't last long but it was still painful.
