"I'll catch you whenever you fall"

Once we get backstage we all jump around and cheer.
"You guys are so good" Austin compliments.
"Psh, we don't even compare to you guys," i say sheepishly giggling.
"True" Nick says jokingly. We all laugh and I give him a small shove.
"I wish we had met you guys sooner! You guys are so cool!" Zion says making me blush.
The guys all nod behind him.
"Same here!" Isabella says with a smile.
We stand in an awkward silence for a little bit before Edwin speaks up.
"Do you guys have plans? We don't, we were just going to head back to our hotel and hang out, and you guys are totally welcome to come if you want."
I smile and look towards Bella and we have a conversation with our eyes; it's a sister thing.
I look back to Edwin, "sure that sounds great" i answer.
"Great lets go!"

When we get back to the hotel we are all gathered in Edwin's room. We were talking for like an hour when Austin declared he was "bored". We laughed and began to think of something we could do.
Suddenly I sprung up.
"I have a idea!" they all looked at me.
"Okay this is something i've always wanted to do, and me and Gabriella can film it for our channel. Anyways we go to party city and get some disguises so no one recognizes us, then we go to walmart, get some walkie talkies and play hide and seek throughout the whole store!"
Brandon nods "I actually think that would be a lot of fun!" I smile at him, and he winks at me.

oh this boy.

"I'm so down!" Austin yells. Finally everyone agrees and we go to get the disguises.
Once we changed into our costumes we go to the nearest walmart and bought a set of 10
walkie talkies (only using 7 obviously). We got them on and working and all gathered in the center of walmart.
"Okay so I will have the main camera for our channel, and y'all can use your phones to record. We use the walkies to let each other know when we are on our way or when or when somebody has been found. When someone is found come back to this spot and we will start over. Some rules, no teaming up, no giving away your location and do not get us kicked out." We all look to Zion as I say this and he just rolls his eyes and laugh.
"Okay so who is the first seeker?" Nick asks. We all look around until suddenly i shout
"Nose goes" We all quickly scramble to put our fingers on our noses and the last to do so is Austin.
"Damn it!" he says loudly making us laugh.
Before we can realize what he's doing he begins counting to 30. We all run our separate ways quickly. The whole group begins to run off to the far corners of the store, and I quickly begin to think. It's too obvious to run that far, he's going to the far places first. So i make it sound like i'm running far and quickly turn around. I walk slowly and quietly to the baby section that is right next is to Austin and sit on the ground where I can still see him. I turn down my walkie so he can't hear it when someone speaks into it. Eventually he finishes counting and says
"Ready or not hear i come" into his walkie. I see him take off running to the other side of the store. I sigh and turn my walkie volume back up only enough so i can hear.
I turn on my camera and face it towards myself. "Hey guys Gabriella here! Today Isabella and I are playing a fun game with a boy band you may know, PRETTYMUCH" I whisper. We are all in New York because we just finished filming TRL, now we are in walmart playing hide in seek. Austin is currently seeking and I am sitting here in the babies section getting many crazy looks." i laugh to myself and continue.
"Okay see you guys when someone is found" I say shutting off my camera. I sit for about 5 more minutes before I hear a commotion in the walkie. I stand up and turn it up, hearing
"Got ya" I don't know who he found but all i hear is someone swearing in the background.
"Okay guys we are good let's meet back up," Since i'm basically already where we are supposed to meet I'm the first one there waiting for about 2 minutes. Soon enough everyone starts showing up, Austin and a very annoyed looking Nick showing up last. We all laugh and Nick mocks us.
"I'm coming for you Belly," he says pointing to Bella.
"Guess i've got a new nickname" she says laughing.
Nick glares and pulls out his phone to begin recording. He quickly begins counting with his eyes closed and again we all scatter into different directions. This time i decide to run to the front of the store. Brandon has the same idea as me except he goes towards the produce and I go towards the medicine. I sit by the pharmacy for a while until I can hear nick not too far from me. I quickly stand up and take off running not wanting him to catch me.
"I see you Gibby!" Nick says running after me.
I turn my camera on and show Nick running after me. While I am putting the camera back down i'm not paying attention and i run into someone. This someone tries to catch me but we both end up on the floor, the person ending up on top of me. It's Brandon. We stay there for a little while and just look at each other breathing deeply almost as if we were both in a trance. Nick snaps us out of it by running up to us and saying "Gibby you're it!" Brandon stands up and reaches his hand to help me up.
I roll my eyes and talk into the walkie saying to meet back.
When we all get there i'm still dazed from what happened just moments before with Brandon.
Once we all get there I begin counting to 30. Eventually I walk towards the animal section thinking that someone has to be hiding here. When I pass the dogs and cats i see no one, but when I pass the fish I see Brandon staring at them. I laugh silently to myself.
how cute is he. I think to myself.
I pull out the camera and point it at Brandon before pointing it back to myself and whispering "How adorable is he?" i laugh quietly and again and point the camera back to him, slowly walking up behind him. He doesn't notice me because he is just staring at the fish. I stand on my tiptoes and whisper into his ear
"found ya" making him jump.
"Damn it! the fishy's distracted me" Brandon says mentally punching himself. I crack up laughing and I just couldn't stop. Brandon looks at me smiling while I laugh, tears now coming out of my eyes. I finally start calming myself down when Zion begins yelling into the walkie.
"Ditch the walkies and get to the car now! There's security guards looking all around the store for 'kids with walkie talkies disrupting the public'" He says before shutting off his walkie. I look at Brandon with wide eyes and then I look into the camera.
"We gotta go!" I say quickly. Brandon and I quickly throw our walkies on one of the shelves and take off running. We are about halfway to the exit when a security guard comes in front of us. We quickly turn around but see one running towards us from behind.
"You kids stop right there!" he yells.
But before he can get to us, Brandon acts quickly. He quickly grabs my hand and tells me "This way" before pulling me away to the right. We finally make it to the car still hand in hand and see everyone already there waiting for us.
Austin sighs in relief but all I can see is Isabella looking down at our hands and then looking back up to meet my gaze. I quickly pull my hand away and brush it through my hair. Isabella is still glaring at me so I turn my attention back towards the guys.
"Let's go" Edwin says getting into the drivers seat. Zion gets in the passenger seat while Nick and Austin occupy the middle seats.
Brandon, Isabella and I head towards the back and Isabella shouts "I got middle" When she sits down she looks at me with a smirk. I sigh and sit down behind Austin.
Brandon looks quickly from me to Isabella. He shrugs and sits on the other side of her.
Its a pretty quiet ride and eventually we get to our hotel. We all exchange numbers and say our goodbyes before Isabella and I get out of the car. We walk inside the hotel and the boys drive off. Before we get to the elevators Isabella stops me.
I sigh and turn towards her rolling my eyes.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She asks sternly.
"We are not having this conversation in the middle of a lobby." i snap back turning towards the elevator pushing the button. I ignore her until the elevator gets there and I stay silent the whole way to our room. When the door to our room shuts she speaks up half yelling.
"Again I ask, what the hell do you think you're doing?" she asks.
I turn abruptly "I'm not doing anything. I have no idea what you're talking about" I respond nonchalantly.
"Oh don't play dumb Gabriella. He has a girlfriend so whatever weird fantasy you have about him in your head needs to stop" she yells.
"I'm literally not doing anything to try and get in between him and Charlotte!" I yell back throwing my arms up in defense.
"I'm not an idiot! I saw you two holding hands when you came out of the store!"
I roll my eyes and turn my back to her, changing into my pajamas.
"Don't ignore me Gabriella Brielle Gomez!" she yells at me.
I turn to her again now fully frustrated.
"You're not my mom Isabella!" I snap back.
"Well maybe I'll stop acting like it when you stop acting like a Goddamn child!" she yells back.
"I'm not acting like a child Isabella! I did nothing wrong and of course you're so quick to blame me!" I yell louder getting defensive.
"And for your information the only reason he was holding my hand is because we were about to get caught by guards and he grabbed my hand to pull me away. Don't accuse me of things you know nothing about" I say getting into my bed.
"I really like hanging around these guys Gabby" Isabella says a little softer.
"I do too!" i interrupt but she shushes me.
"Do not ruin this because you are living in your imaginary celebrity crush world" she says laying down and shutting her lamp off.
"I'm not" I say rolling my eyes, turning my lamp off and facing my back towards her.
We don't say anything the rest of the night. I was about to fall asleep when my phone buzzed beside me. I pick it up and read Brandon's name across the screen.

Brandon🐝:

my heart flutters when i read "i'll catch you whenever you fall." Stupid Gabby, snap out of it. He's just being a good friend.

I lock my phone and put it back on the nightstand. When I put my head back down on the pillow I begin to smile. I don't stop smiling until I fall asleep.
