{Philip} 15 years later

"Jade Marie Samuelson!"i yell to my 15 year old daughter i can hear her footsteps running down the stairs.

"yes daddy?"Jade asks innocently.

"Come here young lady!"She walks slowly to me and sits on a chair.

"Your school called today said you skipped three classes!"i raise and eyebrow.

"i am sorry daddy i couldn't take it anymore!"

"what do you mean?"She looks at the floor shyly scuffing the toe of her black converse.

"Everybody makes fun of me because i have two daddies and they say all of these nasty things about you and papa!"i pick up my daughter and hold her tightly against me as she cries.

i hear the front door open"Philip? Jade? i am back guy!"My husband stops his sentence when he sees our daughter holding me for deer life and crying he runs over to us.

"oh jade honey what's the matter!"Alex asks rubbing soothing circles against jades back.

"People are being mean to her and saying nasty things about us!"

Jade peeks up and hops onto Alex's lap"They say that being gay is a sin and its gross they said i would turn gay like you guys. but i told them i wouldn't and i told them that being gay isn't gross being gay means you love somebody who is another boy or girl and i told them you taught me that i can love whoever i want but they kept laughing at me!"jade finishes her rant and then sniffles, Alex lifts her chin.

"Baby Girl don't listen to them they DONT know anything they are all closed minded idiots and yes you can love anybody you want may it br a boy or a girl. DONT let anybody tell you that being gay is a sin or that its gross you DONT choose to be gay okay sweety!"Jade nods and smiles at us.

"okay daddy's i love you bunches!"I hug jade and Alex and bring them close.

No matter what life throws at us i know we'll make it with each other forever and always.

When i look at my life i know it will be the greatest no matter what.

as i look at my husband and daughter i feel safe knowing that everything will turn out right.
