Yes, I have a video of Liam from about 2 years ago, but it goes with this chapter. Just imagine him with the hair he has at the present time.

---------------------------------------------------

The next week flew by, thankfully. I thought it was really cute that Liam agreed to go to my sister's party. We texted often; sometimes he was busy, other days he wasn't. I hadn't seen him since he kissed me on the cheek, but I was going to tomorrow since it was the day of my sister's party.

Aubrey sat across from me on the floor next to my couch, a mud mask on both of our faces. We had a deck of cards out, playing a game to pass the time away. We'd ordered a pizza about half an hour ago.

Tomorrow we were going to get our nails and hair done before we were to meet our dates at The Ivy (1D Reference ;] ) at 5:00 two hours before the party.  Jackson, Aubrey's date, is our best guy-friend and she claims that nothing will happen between them, but I think something will. Unless she meets Harry...

 DING!

"I'll get it," Aubrey  stood and opened the door.

"One hawaiian pizza?"

Aubrey paid and came back. We didn't bother getting plates, we just ate over the cardboard box.

"So when are you going to take Liam out?"

I was confused for a second, but remembered that I owed him dinner.

"Oh, I dunno," I told her.

To be honest, I don't even know what to call the thing between Liam and I. I know we're friends, but I don't think he has time for a relationship or anything...

God, Katie. What are you thinking?! He wouldn't date you, he barely even knows you!

"I'm full," I said, staring at the half-full pizza box.

"Yeah, same here," Aubrey stuffed her last bite into her mouth.

I closed the box and put it in the fridge then joined Aubrey back near the couch.

"I think it could be almost fate. You walking into Starbucks last week."

"Aubrey, I don't know what to think right now. This whole situation is crazy. I mean, who would go around town with someone they didn't know? Honestly, I don't think I have a chance at all."

"How could you say that? He at least thinks of you as a friend and I would gladly change places with you any day!"

"Sorry," I appologized, "for being kinda...selfish."

"Hey, don't sweat it. Let's go wash off our masks, then go to bed. Things will fall into place, I promise."

"Thanks, I feel a little bit better."

"Want some Ben and Jerry's?"

"No way, I'm already too full."

"Haha, okay then."

She stood up and pulled me to my feet. We both went to my bathroom and scrubbed the mud masks off our faces. We brushed our teeth, then changed into pyjamas and hopped into my bed.

As we lay there in the dark, I thought about what Aubrey said. Why was I complaining that I had no chance with Liam, when we were sorta friends? Millions of girls would kill to be in my place, just like Aubrey said. I tried not to think about Liam. My mind wondered around from Jack, my neighbor, to my sister and her dress, then back to Liam and the dress that he picked out for me.

Ugh, thinking of other things was not working.
