Chapter Fifteen

I woke up the next morning feeling drained. Last night was terrible but I'm so relieved that Calum came back.

I honestly thought he was done with me and I was more hurt by that thought than anything else.

He's my rock at the moment and I don't know what I would do if he wasn't here right now.

I turned over to face Calum but he wasn't there, I looked at the time. 8:27am. Holy shit it's early, why am I even awake. I rolled back over to go back to sleep but then a whiff of bacon and pancakes filled my nose.

I dragged my self out of bed, fixing my bun and making my way to the kitchen.

I sat on one of the bar stools at the island, "good morning," I said smiling as I watched him flip the pancakes.

He wasn't wearing a shirt and I could see his back muscles perfectly.

He turned around and smiled, before walking over to me. He kissed my head and gave me a side hug. "How are you feeling?" He asked sweetly.

"Good," I lied. I feel better than last night but there's still this emptiness inside of me. "Alanna don't lie to me, it's okay not to be okay." He said walking over to the other side of the counter. He put his hand on top of mine and rubbed it with his thumb, just his touch could change my whole mood.

"I feel better than last night..." I admitted with a small smile. He smiled back to me then turned around and plated the pancakes and bacon.

He sat beside me, setting my plate in front of me. "Thanks for breakfast babe." I stuffed a mouthful of pancakes in my mouth, he makes the best pancakes by the way.

"Of course!" He said with a mouth full of bacon.

Calum's P.O.V

"You're such a dork, I can't stress it enough!" She giggled. "You like it," I smirked at her.

She just smirked back at me and continued eating her breakfast.

We finished eating at around the same time so I grabbed our plates and set them in the sink. "Would you maybe wanna go for a drive? Try and get your mind off things." I offered as I turned around to face her.

"Yea that sounds nice! Just let me shower and get ready," she said as she made her way to the bathroom. She still sounds broken, like she's trying to act happy even though she's not.

I went into her room, or I guess it's our room now but what ever. I had a plan to make her happy again, even if it was just for a day.

I picked up her phone and called Ashley, it didn't even finish ringing the first time and she had already answered.

Ashley- Hey Babe! How are you feeling?

Me- it's actually Calum, Alanna's in the shower

Ashley- oh hey Calum. Is everything okay? How is she?

Me- she seems a little bit better but I can tell she still feels broken. I was wondering if maybe you and Alison wanted to help me cheer her up today?

Ashley- I'd love to! I'll call Alison and then I'll text you, what's your number?

Me-(I told her my number) I'm gonna invite my friends luke, Ashton, and Michael also. I was thinking beach day and a picnic?

Ashley- that sounds perfect! I'll text you in a bit to let you know what Alison says!

Me- thanks Ashley! Talk to you soon

And with that I hung up the phone and got changed. I just put on some jeans and a muscle shirt. I grabbed my swim shorts and one of Alanna's bathing suits and went out to the car, quickly putting them in the back seat then heading back inside.
