Save Me

Chapter Five

I was debating on answering cam when Calum grabbed my hand and dragged me over to the play structure. I'll answer cam tonight around dinner. When we got in front of the structure Calum tapped my shoulder and yelled "your it!" "No fair!" I yelled at him while running up the stairs to chase him. He ran to a slide and slid down, I followed after him and slid down the slide as well.

Calum wasn't there so I ran to the other side to look for him. I saw him climbing the monkey bars to try and get on top so I jumped up and tagged him.

While Calum was trying to get off the monkey bars I ran to the top of the playground and slid down the pole. There was a blue stair thing and I went to hide under it. I guess Calum got off the monkey bars and couldn't find me so he started calling my name. "Alanna! Where are you?" He called out. I snuck out from under the blue stairs and started running.

As I was running I looked behind me and saw Calum basically right behind me, holy crap he's fast! He grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. I guess he pulled a little to hard because we both fell and I landed on top of him. We were both staring at each other for a bit. He was just so perfect, his smile made me melt inside.

Calum propped himself up on one of his elbows and put one hand on my cheek. He looked at my lips then licked his, slowly coming closer to me before pressing his lips to mine. I kissed him back, it just felt right. After a couple seconds Calum sadly broke the kiss. "I'm sorry, we just met today and you have a boyfriend and-" I cut him off by putting my hand over his mouth. I got off him and sat beside him.

"1. It's fine, your a nice guy and so what we just met, your cute and I really like you, I mean I like you as a friend, so far... And 2. I tried ending it with cam and he hit me and called me a slut. I don't feel anything towards him except hate. And I'm only with him because I'm scared to leave him"

Calum got up and helped me up after. He grabbed my hand and walked to the water, walking along the mini beach with our fingers intertwined together perfectly. "I just usually don't kiss girls on the first day. There's just something about you that drives me crazy. I'm sorry about mentioning you having a boyfriend, I understand why you don't care about kissing me while dating him because he's not a real boyfriend, just an asshole."

"No it's fine I get it. I'm scared that if I try to leave him again he's just gonna hit me, again, and he's like, really strong" Calum stopped and grabbed my other hand, I looked up at him since he was taller then me. "It's okayy Alanna, I'm here" then he hugged me and it felt, right. I broke the hug and checked my phone, it was a couple minutes past 12. "Wanna go for lunch now?" "Yea let's go" he replied with his adorable smile. He grabbed my hand again and we walked to the car.

We decided to go to a little caffe a couple blocks away. I got a latte and and a sandwich, Calum got tea and a sandwich too. "So cal, if we're going to possibly live together I want to know a little bit more about you" I said smiling.

"Sure thing! My favourite food is pizza, I like girls with dark brown hair, my favourite ice cream is mint chocolate, I only like cheddar cheese, I love tea, my favourite colour is baby blue, I love dogs, my favourite childhood movie is Monsters inc, I've never eaten a waffle, my favourite fruit is an apple, music is my life, and if I could have any super power it would be to talk to animals."

"Holy crap I don't think you'd say that much" I said laughing. "Kay your turn!" He said looking eager to learn some stuff about me. "Okayy, my favourite food is popcorn, I'm a sucker for a guy with brown eyes, I like vanilla ice cream, I love Starbucks, my favourite colour is red, I love dogs too, my favourite childhood movie is the little mermaid, my favourite veggie is carrots, and if I could have any super power it would be to read minds"
