Ashton’s pov:

“Hey jashton.”Calum said laughing his head off like it was the funniest thing he had ever heard. I just stood there staring at him like he had just shared. It was such a rubbish ship name for Jamie and me. I was thinking more along the lines of jameshton bit like Jamestown.

“Hey calum, hey Luke.” Jamie said with that smile that practically won me over.

“Me, calum, Ashton and Michael have written a song and btw Ashton writ most of it.” I totally blushed then. Luke always purposely embarrasses whenever Jamie’s around like he’s jealous. But then again I can’t blame him, I would be jealous if one of them were dating her.

We performed “beside you” to her.

Within a minute I was all packed up

Luke was trying to be the loudest (im seriously going to start getting protective over Jamie) but I beat him towards the end then he just gave up.

“Guys, ashton, that was so sweet.” then she started crying.

I don’t mean tears falling out of her eyes. I mean the sound effects and lots of tears falling out of her eyes.crying.it toughed my heart so much that I ended up cying, well tearing cause big boys don’t cry.

At that point, I decided to tell Jamie about what I think of Luke but before I do that I have to talk to the man himself.

Luke hemmings.

 

-3 hours later-

Michael had just went to drop Jamie off and Luke was going to go too until I stopped-dun dun dun smash to the rescue-him leaving.

“Luke, can I talk to you man?” I asked.

“I don’t think I have a choice.” he replied

“You don’t but its custom to ask first, anyways what’s your deal with my girl?”

“What do you mean?”

“Every time Jamie is around you’re always trying to compete with me and embarrass me, what’s up with that?”

There was a long silence. I though he was never going to answer but after like 2 Christmases he said:

“Dude, I…I…I don’t know what to say, I can’t believe you would think I would do something like that.”

“I didn’t say that, just wanted to make sure, you know how I fell about this girl.”

“Yes I do that’s why I would never think about her that way plus you’re my band mate, best mate and house mate, she is totally out of bounds.” Luke explained.

That’s when I realised how stupid had I been. I mean this is Luke for god’s sake, if it was Michael I wouldn’t be that surprised but Lucas Robert hemmings?
