❁Chapter 2❁

Jamie's POV

The alarm on my phone had woke me up at 6:30, telling me it was time to get ready for school.

I got up, made my bed, then headed straight to the bathroom to take a quick shower. After I finished, I opened my closet and gazed at my clothes. I threw on a pink floral crop top and a black skater skirt. I did my everyday makeup and curled my hair.

When I finished, I headed downstairs and grabbed some yogurt. I scrolled through twitter for a few minutes then went to go brush my teeth. I clicked the home button on my phone to check the time,

7:15

I start school at 7:30 so I still had a few minutes to kill. As the time past, I put on my brown combat boots, a white cardigan, grabbed my bag, and went to the car.

My mom had dropped me off at school and as I walked in the building, I started getting butterflies.

I went to where the lockers were located and started looking for locker 36D. As soon as I found it, I unlocked it and put my books in there.

Jacob's POV

There she is, I thought. The girl from yesterday. Oh god she's beautiful. Ok, just go up to her and talk to her. I walked towards her and stopped her right before she was about to leave.

"Hey you" I told her

"Oh, hi"

I smiled bigger when her cheeks turned red

"You're the new girl huh?" I stuck out my hand, "I'm Jacob, it's nice to meet you"

"Yeah, I'm Jamie it's nice to meet you too" she said while shaking my hand

"Can I see your schedule?"

"Yeah, here" she nervously replied

She handed me her schedule and I read through it

"Oh cool we have the first 3 classes together"

Jamie's POV

As soon as those words came out of his mouth all I can think was, praise the lord. The bell had rang, pulling me out of my thoughts.

"So, shall we walk together?" Jacob asked me, handing me back my schedule

"Yeah, I'd like that"

We walked to our first class together which was chemistry.

The day went by pretty fast. I made some new friends and we exchanged numbers. Their names were Maddie, Dani, and Kendal. School had ended and I was walking out of my last class when I suddenly felt someone grab my waist.

"Hey Jamie" Jacob said in my ear

"OH MY GOD YOU SCARED ME" I said almost yelling

"Haha I'm sorry. So are you walking home?"

"Yeah"

"Oh sweet me too. I'll walk you home"

"Oh no, you don't have to do that" by this point I was blushing like crazy

"No I want to. Ya know, a pretty girl like you can get raped or something so.. I'll protect you"

It was still processing in my head that he called me pretty.

On our walk to my house, we mainly talked about school and each other's days. It was a very short walk, but it was nice.

"So this is my house. Thanks for walking me home" I told Jacob

"No problem, we should do this more often.. and maybe hangout soon?"

"Yeah yeah, I'd like that"

He pulled me into a tight hug and I smelt the cologne on his shirt. It wasn't the type of cologne to give you a headache, it smelled heavenly and I didn't want to let go.

"See you tomorrow Jamie" he said, still hugging me

"See you tomorrow Jacob"

We pulled away from the hug and I got out my keys to open the door. I was about to walk inside when he stopped me asking for my number. I gave it to him and he said he'd text me later. After that I walked inside.

My mom wasn't home because she was at work. I ran up to my room and laid on my bed rethinking everything that had happened today, from Jacob stopping me at my locker to walking home with him. I felt my phone buzz and saw Maddie had put me in a group chat with Dani and Kendal.

Maddie: So Jamie you and Jacob huh?;)

Me: What about us?

Kendal: The way he grabbed your waist

Dani: Oooh get it girl

Me: Hah shut up you guys we're just friends

Kendal: With benefits;)

Dani: KENDAL OMG YOU DIRTY GIRL

Maddie: So do you like him?

Me: Um, I don't know I barely met him

They continued talking about how we'd make a cute couple, but I stopped replying because I got a text from Jacob.

Jacob: Hey beautiful;)

Me: Is this a rapist?

Jacob: Wow, I thought we were friends

Me: I'm kidding I know it's you Jacob

Jacob: Hah okay we're friends again:)

We texted eachother for the rest of the day, talking about the most randomness things, until it got really late and I fell asleep.
