Sorry I haven't updated in awhile I had major writers block but I'm back now and I'm gonna try to update every Friday. I also went back and fixed the previous chapters so they're somewhat longer/better. I also changed them a little so if you want, you can go back and read them:) xx

Jamie's POV

I woke up the next morning later than usual because it was a Saturday. I clicked the home button on my phone to check the time

11:25

I scrolled through twitter until I felt it was time to get up.

A few minutes later, I made my way to the shower. When I got out, I put on a white crop top and Aztec patterned shorts. I did my makeup and left my hair to dry.

I grabbed my phone and saw I had 2 text messages from Jacob that read:

Jacob: Jamie call me ASAP

Jacob: It's about our date

I did what I was told and called him. It rang 3 times and he finally answered.

Jacob: Hey Jamie

Me: Hi, so what's this about our date?

Jacob: Well I was wondering what you would like to do because I honestly have no idea haha

Me: Um.. I don't know, surprise me

Jacob: Ah fine I'll think of something, okay, now I gotta go

Me: Bye Jacob

Jacob: Bye

We hung up and I headed downstairs to see my mom had made me breakfast. I was shocked because she hasn't done this in awhile.

"Mom what are you doing here, I thought you worked Saturdays?" I asked curiously

"I don't have to go to work until 1 today" she explained

I liked it when my mom had some time off of work. I rarely ever get to see her as it is.

I sat down at the kitchen table and ate my breakfast. It's been so long since I ate a home cooked meal, I almost forgot what my moms cooking taste like.

After I finished my breakfast, I put my plate in the sink and headed back to my room. I was thinking of what I should do for the day when I saw my penny board in the corner of my room. I got the idea of going exploring because I've been in California for a month now and I haven't seen much.

I walked to the corner of my room and grabbed my pastel blue penny board along with my phone and some sunglasses, then I headed back downstairs.

"Mom I'm gonna go exploring"

"Okay honey be careful" my mom informed me

I exited the house and skated down the driveway. I skated for a few blocks and then stopped when I saw a beach coming up in my view. I hopped off my board and decided to take a walk on the beach.

I saw a group of people surfing and it reminded me back when I lived in Oregon. I used to go surfing almost everyday. I made a mental note to come back some other time with my surfboard.

I suddenly felt my phone buzz so I took it out of my pocket and saw I had a text from Jacob:

Jacob: Be ready tomorrow! I'll pick you up at 3. Dress casual yet comfy:)

I smiled at the thought of us going on a date. I texted back asking:

Me: What do you have planned?
