❁Chapter 3❁

Jamie's POV

I woke up the next morning and checked my phone. I had 8 text messages from Jacob and over 40 messages from the girls. I checked Jacob's first. They read:

Jacob: So you're ignoring me now

Jacob: Did you fall asleep or?

Jacob: JAMIE WHERE YOU AT

Jacob: WAKE UP

Jacob: I'm gonna spam you okay

Jacob: BABY COME THROUGH YOU DESERVE ROUNDS

Jacob: Never mind I'm too tired to spam

Jacob: Goodnight bby:*

I decided to reply:

Me: I'M ALIVE AND GOOD MORNING

The girls were just talking about who they liked but I didn't feel like it was necessary to respond.

I got up out of bed and made my way to the shower. When I was done, I put on a plain black shirt and some blue shorts. I did my makeup and decided to stick with my natural hair which were beach waves.

My mom dropped me off at school and as I was heading towards the building, I saw Jacob. I decided to creep up on him and scare him like he did to me. I began to speed walk up behind him and when I got close, I jumped on his back.

"HOLY SHIT" he yelled

"Hah. Payback is a bitch honey"

"Well played Jamie. I'm gonna get you back someday, so watch out" he said with a smirk

"Whatever you say Whitesides"

We walked to class together as usual and it was just a normal day.

At the end of the day, Jacob and I walked home as usual, but this time, he insisted we go to Starbucks. Kendal, Dani, Maddi, Jack J, Jack G, and Shawn decided to tag along with us too.

While we were waiting in line at Starbucks, "Give Me Love" by Ed Sheeran was playing. I heard Jacob humming to the song then he started to sing to me.

"Wow, you're a really good singer" I told him in shock

"Thanks it's kind of my passion"

"Oh cool. You should post covers on YouTube or something" I replied

"Do you not know?" Jack G asked me

"Know what?" By this point I was confused

"Oh my god she doesn't know" JJ said in shock

"Jacob already posts covers on YouTube and Vine. He's kind of a big deal" Shawn explained

"Oh. Well I feel stupid now" It was true, I felt really embarrassed that I didn't know about Jacob's videos

"It's fine, you didn't know" Jacob said defending me

I still felt stupid. Jacob noticed that I was kinda sad so he held my hand.

"Don't worry about it Jamie we're still friends" he whispered in my ear.

It was our turn to order so we walked up to the counter together.

"Hi welcome to Starbucks what can I get for you guys today?"

"Can I get two venti passion fruit tea please" Jacob told the lady while still holding my hand

"Okay your total is $11.25"

Jacob handed the lady the money.

"You know I have money, right" I informed him

"Yeah but I thought it'd be more sweet if I payed for you"

"Aw what a gentleman" I teased him

"Yeah yeah yeah"

We stood off to the side and waited for our drinks. We all finally got our drinks and sat down at a table together. After a few minutes of us talking, Jacob told everyone that he was going to walk me home. We walked out of Starbucks and started heading to my house.

"Why are we leaving so early?" I asked confusingly

"Because I wanted to spend some time with you. Just the two of us"

He held my hand and I couldn't help but smile. The walk to my house was quiet but a good quiet.

We finally reached my house and he pulled me into one of his hugs.

"Goodbye beautiful" he told me

"Bye Jacob"

We pulled away and I unlocked the door and headed inside. My mom wasn't home, as usual. I began thinking about Jacob and my feelings towards him.

Jacob was the opposite of what I thought before I met him. But there's something about him that doesn't seem right.
