Chapter 10

July 16th:
Today marks 2 weeks since I've talked to Shawn. I had to get space from him. He has made me furious, devastated, and even depressed. I have still went to Piano class, but I haven't talked to him in there. I've been working. The Scientist By:Coldplay. It's pretty easy. All you have to play is 4 chords. I'm going back today to play it with the lyrics. I was walking there when Jasmine caught up with me. "Hey, have you talked to Shawn since the incident?" She asked me. "I haven't. He hasn't made me be the best person I could be. Being without him makes me a better person. I have to get to Piano, I'll see you later" I said. "Ok. I'll catch up with you later. Have a good time Haley" Jasmine said to me. I finally got there and pulled out the lyrics.

Haley hasn't talked to me in 2 weeks. It's kind of upsetting. I poured myself out to her, and she reads one article and she went away. She has piano with me today. I'm hoping to talk to her. She walked in and started to play The Scientist By:Coldplay. He singing is so beautiful. Decided to join in with her.

She was surprised. "Shawn, what are you doing?" She asked. "I wanted to join in. I've missed you and I can't stay away from you. I've really missed you" I said. "Shawn, I don't know if I can do this?" She said, but I cut her off. "Shhhhhhhh. Let me take you on a picnic. We can see what happens after that" I told her. She actually agree. I stood there and stared into her pretty light brown eyes. "Shawn, are you ok?" She asked me. "Yeah, I'm just staring at something beautiful" I responded back. She turned around and blush. She continued to play the piano. She found some chords that I thought sounded pretty good together. I took out my book. "Haley, daring. Can you keep playing those chords for me" I asked her. "Sure thing, Mr.Mendes" she replied back. I then started to sing this song I've been working on called Lost In Japan.

Haley's Point of View:
"What do you think?" Shawn asked me. "Shawn, I don't know how to put this, but, that was... amazing. It was perfect, kind of like you" I said. I started to think of how stupid that was until Shawn sat down next to me. He tilted my head up. I lifted my eyes up to his and said "Daring, if anything is perfect here, it's you" he said back. It made me melt. What is this man doing to me?

After that little session, we headed to the Dinning Hall. Shawn and I sat at a table with Jasmine and Luke. "So, what are you think about singing at The Voice Off?" Shawn asked me. "Well, I want to sing an original" I replied back. "I'm looking forward to hearing it" He said as I smiled. I enjoy him. He's my everything. "What are you singing Shawn? Also, have you found your girl yet?" Luke asked him. "I'm planning on singing Chains By: Nick Jonas, and no, I have not found my mystery girl yet. Once I do, I want to take her on a date and get to know her" he said. After that statement, I got up and left. "Haley, where are you going?" He asked. "I thought we were on good terms". "Mr.Mendes, we were on good terms until you just said the statement you did" I told him. I then walked out. I headed to my room. I don't know why he makes me feel so happy once second and then pissed at him the next. I got to my cabin and walked into the bathroom. I pulled my hair back into a ponytail and then put on some shorts and a sweatshirt as pjs. Then I brushed my teeth and took off my makeup. I went to to my bed and later down in it. I was so upset that I just let some tears flow off my face. I then decided that I'm not crying over him. I took out my song book and wrote a new song called By My Side. I finished it when Jasmine and Luke came into my cabin excited. "Why are you guys sinking so much?" I asked. "Go outside and you'll see why" Luke said. I got up and headed outside to see Shawn holding a sign. Before I could read it, I closed the door. "Guys, I can't do this" I told them. "Haley, GET YOUR ASS OUTSIDE AND HAVE FUNN" Jasmine said. I walked out and read the sign. It said "Haley, I know I haven't won your heart, but maybe I could score a date with you". "So, what do you say?" Shawn asked. "I'll go" I said. I could hear Luke and Jasmine cheering from the cabins. "Bring her back by midnight Shawn or you're going to be a dead man" Luke said. "Don't worry guys, I'll protect her and have her back by midnight" Shawn said.
