Music Camp (Shawn Mendes)|Complete

Chapter 3

June 15th:
It has been 9 days since my last encounter with Shawn. I've been avoiding him. I don't want to see him again after what he told me. I've have had piano with him, but I didn't talk to him. I only talked to this guy named Luke. He kind of helped me. I learned how to play Somebody That I Use To Know By: Gotye. I just haven't been very motivated. That's ok. I started to learn "I Took A Pill in Ibiza" By: Mike Poser. It's really fun.

Shawn has been upset. He started to play his song Mercy on the piano. I kind of felt bad. I shouldn't though because he said some rude stuff to me.

After that class, I left and went to the dock. I pulled out my uke and played I'm Yours By: Jason Mraz. I heard a familiar voice come over. "Hey, I'm sorry about what I said. Can I talk to you?". I replied back with "I don't know what you want to talk about. There isn't anything". He then sat down next to me and put his hand on my shoulder. "Haley, listen. I truly am sorry. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?". I said "Yes there is one thing". "Awesome!! What is it" Shawn said. "Leave me alone". Shawn got up and left.

Rose came over and said "Haley, what the hell do you think your doing?! A popular person just came over to you and basically tried to apologies after how rude he's been. You need to get yourself together".

I stood up and left. I ran away crying. I was so tired with this. I went to the lake and got  a canoe. I went out into the middle of the lake and pulled out my song book and wrote a new song called "Somedays". I was crying in the middle of the lake as I wrote that. I'm glad I could get all of that out onto paper. I then put my book back in my book bag and went back to the dock. I put my canoe back and went to uke class. I learned how to play "Yellow Submarine" by The Beetles on there. After that I went to dinner.

Rose's Point of View:
I don't know what's wrong with Haley. She likes Shawn a lot. I'm going to look at her song book before I go to bed.

Haley's Point of View:
Tonight there is another open mic type of thing. This time, I'm going to sing Somedays. I hope people like it. After dinner, I went back to my room and got ready. I sat my book bag down and tried to look presentable. I went up to the stage and played my song. I was the last one to go up again. Everyone enjoyed it. Then, I walked of the stage as Shawn walked up and we hit shoulders. He had an announcement to make.

Shawn's Point of View:
I want to find the girl who sung that song. I think I'm going to announce to everyone about a search I'm having to find her. Later on at the open mic, I heard a familiar voice singing, it was Haley. I don't know why every time I like someone, I have to ruin it somehow. After she was done, she walked down the stairs of the stage. I was going off them at the same time and we bumped shoulders. I hope I didn't hurt her.

"Ladies and Gentleman, Shawn has an announcement to make" Shane said. "Thanks Shane. I am inviting all the ladies of the camp to come and sing for me. I heard someone singing a while ago, and I want to find out who it is. She has the most beautiful voice. The search will be happening from now until The Voice Off" I announced to everyone. All the girls looked around and got excited, except for one, that one was Haley. She wasn't happy or anything. She just kind of looked down at the ground, and you know what, it is partially my fault. Maybe I should change my ways.

Haley's Point of View:
Shawn has announced his big search for the girl he heard singing. I hope Rose is the one. She really likes him. After he said "She has the most beautiful voice", I zoned out. I honestly didn't care anymore. I was kind of sad too, because I knew that there was still a place in my heart for him, but I don't think he likes me so I'm good, right? Well instead of letting that go to my head, I started to think about my performance and how well it went. I really liked it a lot. About 10 minutes later, we were dismissed and I went back to my room. Rose was in there. "Hi Haley. I was wondering if you could sing another one of your songs to us?" Rose asked. "Of course" I told her.

I took out my book and started to sing.
"So come over, listen to me, I've got another book, and it's full of stories, but there's just something bout you that my mind can't comprehend" I sang to them. They enjoyed it. "Thank you Haley. That was beautiful. Good Night Girls" Rose said. I walked outside and sat on the porch. Shawn was there.

"What do you want" I asked. "I want to talk. I'm sorry and I'm really hoping you can forgive me. I just have one question" Shawn said. "What is it" I asked. "How old are you?" He asked. I freaked out. Shawn is 19 and I'm only 15. I freaked out and said "I'm 17. But I do partially forgive you" I said. He got happy and put a smile on his face. "Ok. So you won't mind if I" Shawn said. He leaned in and tried to kiss me. I kind of leaned away. "Shawn, we barely know each other, and I'm partially still mad at you. We can't do this" I told him. "You're right. I don't know what came over me. Is it alright if I give you a hug then?" He asked. "Yeah that ok. Good Night". He gave me a hug and then walked off to his cabin which was right across from my cabin. I opened the door and turned around to see him staring at me from his cabin. We waved to each other and then walked inside.

That was awkward, but it is also a relive to not have to worry about anymore. I shut my eyes and dozed off to sleep. I had a dream about Shawn finding out that I'm 15 from Rose. I don't want to hurt him. I hope things go ok.
