Maya's pov

I got inside the daycare hearing Lucas driving off to work in the background.

"Maya!" Kevin shouted and ran towards me as soon as I was inside the playroom. I picked him up and sat him on my hip.

"Hi, Kev. How you been?" I asked him.

"Good. I'm glad you're back." He said and hugged me.

"Well, aren't you a little cutie. Go play with the rest now." I said and tickled him before he got back to his group.

I smiled to myself. Someone tapped on my shoulder.

"Jasmine?" I asked surprised and we hugged.

"You've been gone for so long, I almost forgot how small you are." She joked. I hit her arm and she chuckled.

"Miss Hart?" I heard a voice ask from behind. I turned, setting my eyes on the one and only Mrs. Anderson.

"Mrs. Anderson, how are you?" I asked.

"I'm just fine. May I speak to you privately?" She asked, as politely as she could. I nobbed and followed her to her office.

We sat down and I have to admit I'm pretty damn nervous. "Maya, I've noticed how close you are with Lucas Friar, and I need to talk to you about him." She started

"Things may be a little more complicated than they need to be. And there is sudden things Lucas doesn't know yet."

"Mrs. Anderson, not to be rude, but I don't get what this is about.." I interrupted. She nobbed understandingly.

"I'll just say it. Jasons mother is coming back to town, hoping she can get back to Lucas and find their son."

I'm shocked. Like really shocked and confused. Why would she want that? She's the one that left them?!

"Why-... how do you know..?" I trailed off.

"I'm her grandmother. But unfortunately, we don't have much contact." She answered and showed me a family picture she kept in her purse.

I didn't really know what to say. I just sat there.

"I just wanted you to know that I act the way I do towards Lucas in hope of making him mentally stronger. I know it sounds wired and we all know he already is very strong, but it's an instinct. Since he is the father of my great-grandson, and I don't have any contact with them, it's the only thing I can do."

I rushed inside Lucas' house. I was full of emotions, and most of all I was pretty angry.

I groaned and quickly dried my tears. I threw my purse on the coach and slammed a pillow at my head.

I don't know why I'm this upset. I guess I'm just afraid of losing Lucas. Why would that bitch even want to come back?

She left her son here. She ran off! She don't deserve this!

I walked outside again. I couldn't bare being inside there without Lucas. I walked fast down the streets and took a fast decision on crashing at James' place.

I mean, he's out of town and I hate my own place. I walked inside the enormous building and started to search for my keys as I made my way to James' apartment.

I fumbled, making a lot of noise because I was shaky. I don't think it's right that Cecilia can just come back here after leaving!

The door finally opened and I stormed inside just to meet a sight I've never thought I'd see.

"What the actual fuck?" I yelled.

James and a brunette turned to me, clearly shocked by me being there, and panted. It seemed like they were in the middle of a heated make out session.

"Maya, what are you doing here?" James asked and I clenched my teeth. He let go of the blushing brunette and she walked a little away.

"You are a total asshole! How is this even possible??" I shouted. "I find you IN TOWN, MAKING OUT WITH SOMEONE THATS NOT YOUR GIRLFRIEND!"

"Maya, it's-..." He's face was red.

"Pffft. I hate you." I cut him off and showed him my middle finger.

"We're over." I said as I walked to the door and threw my key, to his apartment, in his face.

I shut the door close the hardest I could and screamed. How can a day go so wrong?! I just want to go into another world.

Lucas' pov

I'm still on duty. I've had a lit of paper work this past hours, but I'm finally outside. I got to read through some of the files in Jason's case as well today.

Unfortunately, they're not one step closer ro figure out where he is.

I'm casually walking down the streets of my hometown, patrolling them. I have twenty minutes left till I get to go home and talk to Maya.

I hope she can stay one more night. James isn't in town and I'm feeling so much better when I have her around.

My thoughts get interrupted by loud music. The night club is open, and with all the people there, I figure it's the best if I check it out.

The neon lights changes colors each second and I can't but think of all the time I've spend here after Jason went missing.

I push through a crowd to get a quick view of inside the building. I see a lot of people dancing and grinding on each other.

My eyes traveled to the bar where only one person sits. Maya?!

"I'll take another. It tastes wired. Like a birds ass! Birds got asses right? How else can they poop?" She giggles and takes another sip of a glass.

She's definitely drunk. I push through all the grinding teenagers and put a hand on Maya's shoulder.

"Oh, Lucky!" She says and stand up. "You home soon?" She smiled a drunk smile and wraps her arms around my waist.

"Maya, listen. You are drunk, and I'll take you home. I don't want anything to happen to you." She looks me in the eyes.

Then I notice how much she must have cried, because her mascara has made big black circles around her eyes.

"Come." I say and try to walk, but she crosses her amrs and sticks out her bottom lip.

I sight and pick her up. She giggles and kisses my cheek and neck. "You'll thank me for helping you." I mumbled.

As we walk, she continues sucking and kissing my neck and it makes it hard to concentrate. "Maya," I moan and I feel her smile. "What?" She chuckles.

"Stop it." I try to sound as convincing as possible, but I know I don't ever sound that way.

"You lovvve mee!" She sing loud.

Oh, I do. I do
