Perrie's POV:
"Alex, be careful. Your boss will kill you if you fall!" I called to Alex, who was at the top of a ladder leant against the wall. We were painting one of our spare rooms, in preparation for the baby's arrival. Typical us, we'd left it to the last minute. Now we only had a month left before our baby came home and we had only just started preparing the room.
"I'm not going to fall." He assured me.
"That ladder is very precarious and you know it." I warned.
"I'll be fine."
"You'd get absolutely destroyed by Twitter if you got injured falling off a ladder."
He laughed and turned around. "Someone's got to do it and it's not going to be you." He reminded me.
"Why? Am I not capable enough?" I challenged him, crossing my arms.
"I'm sure you're capable babe, but there's just the small factor of the eight month old fetus inside of you."
"Ew, I hate that word." I cringed at the sound of it.
"What, 'you'?"
"No, of course not idiot, fetus."
"Well it's not an eight month old baby is it?"
"No, then we'd really have a problem." I laughed. Alex got down from the ladder, making me breathe a sigh of relief.
"So, what's your guess?" He asked.
"Sorry?"
"Boy or girl?"
"Hmm. Boy." I replied, pretending to think about it. I'd already had this conversation with the girls. Jesy and Jade thought it would be a girl, but Leigh and I were certain it was going to be a boy - I just had a feeling.
"Really? I have it down as a girl." Alex added, raising his eyebrows in surprise.
"Ooh. Want to bet on it?" I smirked.
"Sure, if you're ready to lose."
"I think you should be telling yourself that."
"Woah, competitive Perrie is out."
"Out and ready to win." I said, confidently.
"Keep telling yourself that." He grinned.
"Oh I will. And when he is born, I'll tell Alex Jr. that his mummy was right."
"Alex Jr? That's what we're calling our kid now?"
"Yeah, don't you love it? It works for both genders too." I smirked.
"Ha, there's only one Alex and he's standing right in front of you."
"Where?" I joked. He shook his head, smiling.
"So what are we going to name the kiddo?" He asked, changing the subject.
"What? You really don't like Alex Jr?" I laughed. He gave me a sarcastic look. "Joking, obviously! I don't know, what do you have in mind?"
"Hmm, what about Belle?" He suggested.
"No way, I just know I'd end up calling her Belly." I protested.
"Ellie? Millie?"
"We already have a Lillie babe. It would just get massively confusing."
"You know what name I love? Tia." Alex continued.
"It's a possibility, but I wouldn't get your hopes up because it's going to be a boy."
"Ok, and what is this boy going to be called?"
