Jordie's POV:
I was travelling to Germany with my mum and Ky to watch Alex and support the England team. I was incredibly surprised that my mum let me go. I was taking time off school, as was Ky, and she was taking time off work so she'd gone to a great extent to allow us to be here. Mike was also in Germany for work but I had a feeling that my mum wanted to go anyway.
We hadn't been able to fly out for the start of the tournament due to school and my mum's work so we'd missed the group stage matches, but England had qualified as group winners. They'd won two and drawn one of their games and Alex had played really well. I'd been watching at home with my family and friends and it was such an amazing feeling when he would make a good tackle or pass and everyone would cheer. He'd played two full matches and most of the third and had scored a goal, recorded two assists and earned one man of the match award. Hopefully, he would keep up this form as everyone back home and all the pundits were raving about him and I would love to see England get as far as possible, especially seeing as I would be watching it live.
The aeroplane flight was short and smooth so we arrived in mid-afternoon, with plenty of time to enjoy Germany before the match in the coming days. We departed the plane quickly but had to wait for our stuff at baggage. Luckily for me and Ky, there was a match on a TV right next to baggage claim so we could watch that to pass the time. Unfortunately, it was in German but we managed to get the gist of what was going on, even if it was a lot of shouting.
We arrived at the hotel after a short journey and headed up to our rooms. Alex was paying for them so we'd got two - one for my mum and one for me and Ky.
Once we were in our rooms and unpacked, I texted Alex to tell him that we'd arrived, but I wasn't expecting a response as he would probably be training or recovering with the team.
After chilling in the hotel for a bit, we decided to go out for lunch outside the hotel. We found a nice place and ate our food whilst I watched another one of the matches which was being shown on the TV inside.
As we walking back from our meal, I caught sight of someone I recognised and suddenly Lillie had run up to me and was hugging my leg. She was with Perrie, Charlie and Leigh Anne. I picked her up and said hi to the others. It was a little awkward as Perrie and Leigh were on one side of me and my mum and Ky were on the other.
"Jordie, come on." My mum said impatiently. Perrie shot her a death stare.
"I'll just be a minute." I replied.
I moved towards the group and started having a conversation with them. They told me what they'd been up to in Germany so far, how their holiday had been, and Leigh-Anne added how she thought my reply to the stupid article was very funny. They asked me about school and I replied with the same old "it's okay". We also talked about Alex and how well he'd been doing - they said they'd only seen him once but he was really happy and they were so proud of him. We were just finishing talking about where they were staying when my mum snapped at me."Jordie, come with us now!" She yelled, having lost her patience. She was very angry and annoyed, a massive overreaction considering I'd only been talking to them for about a minute, and they were family. I knew my mum was just doing it because she didn't like Perrie and that pissed me off.
"No mum, I'm not finished. Maybe you wouldn't have a problem with that if you'd talk to Perrie and resolve your differences." I retaliated. She huffed and began to walk off.
"Why don't you want to talk? That's just cowardly, you're in the wrong." Perrie called after her.
Mum turned around. "Don't tell me I'm in the wrong. You love to do that - tell me how to live my life, how to mother my son, don't you?" She argued back.
