Chapter Nine- Flashbacks

"Ane!" I looked behind me and looked at my little brother, running towards me with tears in his eyes. His cheeks were all scrapped and were slightly bruised. He stopped in front of me, wiping his tears with one hand." What's wrong?! What happened?" I asked, kneeling to his level. He had an angry look on his face but a determined look." Well, there was this new girl at school and a group of guys were making fun of her so I stood up and they pushed me around." I smiled lightly at him and kissed his forehead." As long as you stood up for someone then it's fine. I won't tell mom and dad." He smiled." Thanks Ane!" He said, hugging me. I smiled and took my jacket off, putting it on him. He smiles." Go clean yourself up before mom and dad see." He gives me a kiss on the cheek and runs inside. I smiled. I love my family. Nothing could separate us

"Lily?" I jumped and looked beside me to see Rin looking at me with a worried look." Are you okay? You've been spacing out." I smiled and picked her up, making her giggle." Don't worry, Rin. I'm just thinking of my little brother." Rin looked curious." You have a brother?" I smiled sadly and nodded. I noticed Sesshomaru looking back at us with curiosity." Where is he?" I looked at her, smiling sadly." He's in a better place, Rin." She nodded with a smile. I set her down and she ran toward Jaken, tackling him into a hug. I smiled and walked next to Sesshomaru." Are you sure you're feeling alright?" I smiled and nodded." Don't worry. I'm fine." I said. He nodded and left it at that.

"I don't care what your sister says, you can't fight people!" My mom yells at Ron. Ron growls." Ane is the only one that helps me with everything in life! She helps me with homework, helping friends, and so much more!"Ron yells. Mom gasps at him." You two don't care about what happens in my life but she does!" Mom reached out to him but he slaps it away." I hate you both!" I gasped at him. He runs past me and into the thundering storm."Ron!" Mom yells, running after him with two coats. I wanted to run after them but dad stopped me." Stay here, honey." He said, kissing my forehead before running out with an umbrella. I felt tears roll down my cheeks. This is all because of me....

It was night time and Rin was sleeping on Jaken's shoulder. I was watching the fire as I leaned against a tree." What's with the frown?" I jumped up with a squeal. I sighed and placed a hand on my heart." D-don't scare me like that!" I said. I didn't even notice I was frowning." Nothing. I'm fine." I gave a weak smile." Do you know what happens when someone lies to me?" I blushed heavily at the images that pop into my head. I sighed." Fine. I was thinking back to my family." He hummed in question." My little brother,Ron, got mad at my parents, which made him run into the storm...."

"Mom!? Dad?! Ron?!" I called out into the storm. It's been a few hours and they haven't come back. I felt my tears mix with the rain. I saw a group of people under umbrellas, in a circle around something. I decided to investigate it. I pushed by people and froze at what I saw. My mom, dad, and brother, splattered into the ground. Their heads were the only thing that was left of them. I felt myself shake with horror and fear. This can't be h-happening! I ran past the cops and under the police tape and hugged my brothers head. I sobbed out, screaming for them to come back. The cops tried to pull me back but it didn't work." I'm sorry....." I sobbed into my brothers hair. I was allowed to keep my brothers jacket he wore. I sat in the ambulance, waiting for someone to come and pick me up. That's where Kagome and her family come in. They (grandpa, Sota, Kagome's mom, and Kagome) hugged me as I cried. They took me in and I've been with them ever since.

"I thought you said your parents died in a car crash?" He asked. I shook my head with a weak smile as tears rolled down my cheeks." I had to make up a story so when people asked what happened, I just gave them a simple story. Apparently, Ron was murdered and mom and dad tried to fight back but they got slaughtered." I explained." I-I told everyone I-I was from America to make an alibi. I-i made it seem I-i was new to town but really-!" I couldn't stop myself from sobbing. I covered my eyes with one arm. Sesshomaru pulled me into his shoulder and let me cry into it." I couldn't save them! It's my fault that they're dead!" I sobbed into his shoulder. He hugged me with one arm while I gripped his kimono." It's my fault......" I said, gripping his kimono tighter. We just sat there, sobbing into his shoulder and gripping his kimono. There's only one problem from doing this.
