I bobbed my head to ice tray, blasting through my headphones as I did a few warm ups in the gym. We had a game this Saturday so I had no time to be fooling around. The team was starting to doubt me from my performances this season and I wouldn't want to be the player sitting on the sides majority of the games.
Sterling tapped my shoulder and I pulled my earpiece out so I can hear what he had to say.
"You good bro? you been seeming nervous the pass few hours and we only warming up"
"Yeah I'm just trying to be prepared, I don't need the coach or the team on back after these games"
"I understand, but you been pulling through bro" I nodded and before I could put my earpiece back in he said "Oh and who is this new chick you been sneaking and creepin with?" He smirked.
I furrowed my eyebrows since I wasn't sneaking and creeping around with nobody. He must've seen them photographs of me and Aaliyah though "You must be talking about that waitress, Aaliyah"
He looked a bit confused "Huh? What waitress?"
"The chick from Marea, the night we went after our win last week"
He raised his eyebrows remembering "Ooh her! Damn man she got you whipped already"'
"She already got a man, so I have no chance" I shrugged.
I've came to the conclusion that my fantasy won't turn into reality. This woman was in a whole relationship and I would be a fool to think I can just up and take her from her man just because I'm rich. Shit money can't buy happiness, but for all I know was she really happy with him?
Not only that, it's crazy how fast I fell for her when I saw her in the restaurant. Love at first sight really is possible.

I waved him off "Man I only took her to lunch, she didn't really have a problem with it"
She shook his head "Alright well what you gone do now? Try to lure her in and trap her?"
