"Baby wake up" I heard Odell say and tap me for what seemed like the tenth time.
We haven't seen in each other in some days due to his games, practices, my nightshifts and all this christmas shopping we been doing. The both of us have been so busy but thank god for FaceTime.
"Come on Aaliyah we got to start getting everything ready"
"Alright!" I groaned slowly taking the covers off of me and sat up on the bed with a frown.
He chuckled "Turn that frown upside down, tonight gone be special" He said and gave me a kiss on the forehead.
Tonight christmas dinner was gonna be held here at Odell's house. I was a bit anxious because the time has come for me to finally meet his family and for him to meet mine. Odell would tell me that his mom already likes me though she hasn't met me yet but I'm still nervous, who wouldn't be?
Maybe my family being here too will calm my nerves, it will be nice to introduce them to everyone and we all get to know each other. I just don't want any drama.
"I hope so I'm so nervous" I said and covered my mouth to yawn.
"Don't be! How many times I gotta tell you my peeps already love you" He said doing a goofy dance and I giggled "I'm sure ya family like me too right?"
"Why wouldn't they? After everything you done did for me" I said standing up from the bed to walk over to my bag. I needed to freshen up "You most definitely have nothing to worry about" I assured him.
"Is your dad coming to dinner?" He asked suddenly.
I sighed and bit down on my bottom lip before opening my mouth to reply "He is actually, my mom let me know yesterday" I shook my head.
"I'm guessing yawl still haven't made up.."
"Nope"
"So you two aren't going to speak at all tonight?"
"I mean that's the plan as crazy as it sounds, my mama just wanted him to meet your side of the family for just this one night"
He nodded "Alright well I'll be in the kitchen when you get out of the shower, you ain't really gotta dress up either, you see what I got on" he examined himself
