"So he just left? Didn't give you a call or anything?" Teyana asked while we were in the back placing meals on the trays.
Ever since I started working at this restaurant she's been the only person I've grew close to. I get along with everyone here actually but she's starting to seem like one of my girls. It's like everyday we come in with gossip.
I nodded "Yep but I'm not tripping about it he'll come around to explain himself eventually" I said shrugging a shoulder.
"Oh naw who is this guy? I just wanna talk"
"Michael, he works right across the street at that barber shop"
She raised her eyebrows before speaking "Wait a minute, Michael ealy?" She chuckled "The light skin one with pretty eyes?" I just nodded "Girl he's like a big brother to me"
"How did you two meet?"
"We grew up with each other and went to the same high school, he started working around here like a year ago and we just always joke around whenever we see each other"
"Really?"
"Yeah" she nodded but sighed "But honestly you shouldn't get involved with him until he's single....for good"
I furrowed my eyebrows "What do you mean? He never told me he had a girlfriend"
"He didn't?" She shook her head "He's with some girl whose name I forgot but they seemed to be on and off for the past months, that girl doesn't know what she wants and he just falls for it every time"
I twisted my lips to the side, somewhat shocked at this news "Wow, I just wish he would've explained all of this to me" I paused then looked back at her "Do you think that's the real reason why he left me that night? He seemed to be all in his phone"
"I don't know, why did he say he had to leave?"
"He said it was something with his mom so it was important"
"Well if he had a car to drive or enough money for a plane ticket I would've believed him, his mom lives all the way in Florida and he showed up to work days ago so I doubt that was the truth"
"Thanks for telling me what he couldn't"
"Don't be too upset about it! with any luck they'll probably break up for good and he could be all yours" He smirked "There's plenty of fish in the sea anyway"
