Me & Dakota were currently at Red Lobster for valentines day but it felt kind of off. Ever since we met last month we been talking non stop and she's actually cool. She even came to a few of my games before the season ended and I thought it was cute that she supports me.
I'll admit we would give each other kisses here and there but I wouldn't say we were in a relationship yet. I wasn't trying to jump into a new one when I still feel some type of way about my last one. I didn't wanna slap a label on it so we just been cooling it.
Earlier I asked Robyn to see if Aaliyah had any plans and sadly she already did but I was dying to know who with. If she wasn't doing anything I was gonna take it upon myself and offer to take her out of town and do something real nice as usual. I guess them days is over though so I just grabbed some flowers and candy for Dakota and took her out to eat tonight, nothing too expensive.
I wasn't about to blow all my money on somebody I just met.
I don't wanna say she's a rebound or anything because she sweet as hell, she got a mouth on her but she sweet and shy.
It's still crazy to me how I'm spending my valentines with a whole new woman. Just last year I went all out for my soon to be wife and it was suppose to be the same this year.
I really wish Aaliyah wouldn't have wanted a break, I still love her so much.
Dakota is cool though and I don't wanna treat her like shit because I'm still thinking about my ex. I'm gone have to move on eventually and just forget about it, that's if Aaliyah decides to be done with me for good. So in the mean time I'm just gonna have to put my all into this little fling with Dakota and see how far we go.
Maybe in the end I'll actually fall for her hard and Aaliyah wouldn't even cross my mind.
"Why you so quiet now? Any other time you can't seem to stop talking" I joked causing her to giggle.
"Because I'm trying to eat"
I chuckled and shook my head "There go that mouth again" I said and she just smirked "But naw I hope you didn't mind me taking you out to red lobster instead of doing some extravagant shit for valentines day"
"I'll be honest and say this was the last place I thought your rich ass was gonna take me but I'm gone be grateful" She shrugged.
"What all was you expecting?"
"I just thought you would spoil me with expensive gifts or take me to a nice hotel or something but this will do, it's still sweet so I can't even complain"
