Chap. 5: Miserable At Best

-Oliver's POV-

I woke up to an empty bed and looked around. She must be in the bathroom or something.... I thought to myself.

I got up from Ala's bed and walked into the kitchen, seeing her and Matt hugging. Then I heard her sniffling. "Is she okay...?" I asked Matt. Matt looked at me and nodded. Ala broke away from Matt then walked over to me, hugging me tight. "Are you okay, Ala?" I asked. She shook her head and hugged me tighter. "Want to go on a walk?" I asked. I felt her nod her head. "Can we change and or get dressed first...I need pants and a sweatshirt..." Ala let out a small laugh and let go, then dragged me to her room. "Some of your clothes are still here. I'm stealing one of your hoodies though.." She told me. I chuckled and nodded. Ala grabbed her favorite hoodie of mine then handed me a different one, then a pair of my pants. "I'll go to the restroom and change..." She said.

I nodded and slid on my clothes when she left. I looked around Ala's room when I was done and saw pictures of us all over her walls. Whether they be drawings or regular pictures. I picked one up off of her vanity and looked at the details of the drawing. "You ready?" Ala asked, scaring the shit out of me and making me jump. "Oh...yeah..." I chuckled. I slipped on my shoes then Ala and I went out the door.

"Why were you crying this morning?" I asked as we began walking to random places. "I had another nightmare...they've been more frequent lately...ever since I got out of the hospital last week they've been happening..." She whispered. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled Ala close. "What was it about if you don't mind me asking?"

"Death." She responded, her voice shaking. I stopped walking and so did Ala. Wrapping my arms around Ala and pulling her into my chest, she began to cry again. "I'm terrified Oliver..." She whispered. I shook ny head and kissed the top of hers. "There's no need to be terrified, love."

"I've almost died so many times..." She cried. "Ala...promise you won't try ever again..I don't want to lose you for good. None of us do." I told her. She looked up at me then nodded. "I'm not...I have everything thing I need." Ala stood on her toes and kissed me. I smiled and kissed her in return.

I pulled away and wiped Ala's cheeks. "You're to beautiful to cry." I told her, kissing her forehead. "Hey, Oliver..." She said. "Yeah?" I asked. "So...I have a feeling that it's going to rain in like....5...4...3...2...1..." She said, and then the first drop was felt. "How did you...?" She shrugged. I chuckled and shook my head, "Would you like to go get something to eat?" I asked. She nodded. "Can I also get a tattoo...?"

"Of what?" I asked her. "I've always wanted a rose tattoo with a music note in the background." I nodded. "Let's go get something to eat then tattoo, then we force your brother to come get us if it's raining to hard." "Uh...I forgot my phone...." She said. I checked my pockets. "Pssshhh...I sooo didn't forget mine." She sighed and began to walk. "Wait uppppp!" I said, catching up to her.

She giggled and I finally caught up to her, wrapping my arms around her waist. She giggled more and we walked around till finally found a place to eat.

We were also kinda wet from the rain. It wasn't as heavy...maybe just sprinkling right now...but we walked for a while...

~After eating~

Ala and I were walking to a tattoo shop and we were both getting tired. "We are sooo calling Matt after this." Ala said. I nodded as we walked in.

"Heller, can I get a hand tattoo of a rose with a music note behind it?"
