Turmoil ensued on the rock made of dust; once quiet and now ravaged with disruptive visitors. The scavenger and her friends scattered in the marching dunes to convoy the ground unit into battle. Fleets of x-wings and the everlasting Falcon flew through the emerald-blue cascade of aviation, keeping their soldiers covered from the sky.

Breathing was a challenge on the scorching planet; a terrain Rey had been deprived of for over a year now. She seethed through her gritted teeth, sprinting across the uneven taupe soil that made up the ground her feet landed on. Her staff was in her hand and was the only weapon she concealed. The broken pieces of the Skywalker saber was still onboard the Falcon, tucked away in a hidden compartment that held the Jedi texts.

"This way!" Finn shouted, denoting to an inflamed TIE-fighter that collided with the ground. It provided coverage from the approaching Stormtroopers. The rebels dashed, employing the burning metal as refuge.

"This is the plan," Rey took charge. She opened a knapsack that rested on her hip. "About five dunes over you will reach a Destroyer Graveyard. There is PLENTY of coverage and you will be able to strategically target the troopers. That is where we will take them out and complete the mission."

Rey passed out small, sensitive charges that could attach adhesively to subjects and explode.

"The issue is," Rey continued and the rebels listened attentively, "when you pass over the dunes, you are going to be exposed. You have to be quick and you have to be smart."

The Falcon soared above with a roar and Rey raised her voice, almost yelling for the renegades to properly hear her, "Poe is in the sky, he will keep us covered!"

Finn shared a smile with the group, nodding. They trusted Poe Dameron, and they trusted the fleet in their brand new, state-of-the-art toys to get the job done; but they also understood the risk of the exposure. Palms gripped the detonators until their knuckles turned white.

"If you cannot make it to the graveyard," Rey's voice started to lower as the starships passed above and the silence returned. The only noise came from the crinkling of the fire on the metal. She rested her hand on the grenade that Finn held. "Take as many out as you can."

Finn replied with a nod, understanding the motive of her speech. He was grateful he persuaded Rose to stay on the Falcon with Chewie. She was safer in the sky.

The Resistance members sat in a circle, grasping their blasters and weapons, breathing heavily and sweating profusely from the sunlight. They waited for Rey's mark as she peered around the TIE-fighter, watching the commotion of the First Order.

Transport shuttles were landing in the sand and taking off rapidly. Over the horizon, the head of an AT-AT walker started to rise. Rey felt her heart sink into her stomach, knowing casualties will be high.
