She needed time
Before she could really understand what being sad really was
But when that sadness turned into feeling numb
She knew something was different
She was too shy to speak up and say something was horribly wrong
When all was gone She saw the devil's eyes
Even if she doesn't believe in anything religious
She kept her feelings simple and sweet
Till she fell way too deep
And laughed while she cried
Because everything felt so useless and stupid
After thousands of seconds spent crying
Wishing on every star that she saw
She killed her mind and became obsessive
To the feeling of feeling numb for him
She would do anything to make him feel better
Because all that mattered was him
She spent countless nights crying about him
Just to dream of him too
Some nights were spent sleeping in the bathtub
Because she needed to wash off her so called love
But never bothered to turn the faucet on
She figured punching the wall would make her feel better and it did
Because all you need is a little pain to feel alive
But all was stuck at the bottom
As this is all a memory
Still a feeling of regret for not forgetting
Because She let him make her fall
Tripping her every chance he got
Remaining broken
Still writing stupid poetry
