Note: Modern AU, sort of. Although Jack still has his powers and can be seen by people.

On the cold streets of London, light snow was falling, and four teenagers were walking down the sidewalks.

"Brrr… Could the weather get any colder?" Rapunzel asked, shivering and hugging herself for warmth. "Well, in Berk, it could be, considering it snows there for nine months and hails the other three, thanks to a certain someone." Hiccup says, glaring a bit in Jack’s direction. "I’m just doing my job, that’s all." Jack smirked at Hiccup. "Job, eh? Well, because of yer "job", the flight had to be moved." Merida remarked, quite annoyed at Jack as well. "But, I can’t do much for now. You guys will have to wait until it goes over. Besides, we can stay longer in London… That’s good, right?" Jack replied, finding a way out. "Well, I guess you have a point. You’re lucky you got out of this one, Frost." Hiccup said, amused at his answer. "Well, guys, do you want to warm yourselves up? You look like you’re freezing." Jack suggested, noticing the state of his friends as they were shivering and a cold mist comes out of their mouths. The three nodded, not wanting to speak so much because of the coldness of the weather.

Jack looked around, spotting a nearby cafe. He tells the three about it, and they make their way towards there. As they get in, Jack told his companions to head over to a table near the heater as he orders for them. The three sat down, trying to warm themselves up by trying various ways how. Jack comes back and sits down on one side, having a somewhat guilty face as he sees how the winter conditions of the weather that he made had affected his peers. Looking down, he starts, “Um, guys, sorry about the weather. I didn’t expect it to be this cold for you guys.” “Nah, i-it’s fine.” Hiccup stuttered, smiling yet shivering. “A’ l-least yeh apologized an’ did n-not meant ter do it.” Merida quavered, giving her winter powered friend a smile as well. The waiter then came and gave out four mugs of hot chocolate to the group of friends. They thanked him and the waiter excused himself. As they sipped, some color had returned to their faces. Well, maybe except for Jack who was somewhat immune to the cold temperatures surrounding him. They sighed contentedly, thankful for the hot beverage as it warms their body. As for Jack, just seeing the faces of his friends with contented smiles, was enough to warm his heart.
