Okay, so you know when you say something to someone , but then they turn around to you and go ' what did you say? sorry I wasn't listening', or something along those lines, there is three answers you give:
A- repeat what you said
B- say ' oh nothing'
C- (this is what I say) say ' oh nothing I was just talking to myself' in the most non sarcastic way. I use this excuse very often. I once said it to a teacher and she looked at me like I was crazy ( which I probably am, but that's not the point). but the way I say it is I the most casual tone as if I was saying A or B. is that weird? But like if I said it to my mom she would just think nothing of it, prob 'cause she has said if a few times........
