I melted into the kiss, and wrapped my arms around Mike's waist.
The kiss went from a slight kiss, to a very passionate one.
"Billie, I'm sorry for being..." Mike started, I cut him off with a simple,"It's okay."
He ran his fingers through my hair, clutched it, and tilted my head back, kissing along my neck up to my jawline.
I made a slight noise as he sucked on my neck.
"No marks." I squeaked.
"Okay."
He slid his hands up my shirt. His hands were soft, warm. He held them on my waist.
He rested his chin on my shoulder and chuckled.
"Is this real?"
I nodded.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
It was kind of odd that we were behind a movie theatre.
My phone began buzzing from my back pocket.
"It's Tré." I said, looking at the number.
"Answer it." Mike instructed, pulling away.
"Hello?"
"Where'd you guys go? If you guys don't hurry up I'm eating your burgers and fries." He explained. I can see him already, eating my fries.
"Don't eat my food!" I exclaimed.
"Hurry up!"
I hung up the phone, and put it back in my hoodie pocket.
"Can we talk about this tomorrow?" Mike asked, quietly.
I nodded and gave him another small kiss on the lips.
"Let's go, I'm hungry." I held his hand, as we turned the corner. We let go and walked into the parking lot.
He got in the driver's seat, and I sat beside him.
Tré handed us our burgers and one box of fries.
"I ate the other one."
I laughed and bit into my burger as Mike started up the car.
It was already dark, so we decided to drop off Tré at the studio, and Mike would drop me off at home.
"Bye!" Tré said, as he walked out of Mike's truck.
Mike had a red pickup truck he used to put trash in the back instead of tools, which it was intended for. It had two seats in the front, and three in the back.
I waved, and Mike drove onto the freeway to my house.
He stayed quiet the whole ride. I did too, not to disturb the silence we were in.
I closed my eyes and tightened my hoodie as I fell asleep.
.mike
This shit that happened right there was insane. Billie had fallen asleep, so I drove up into a cliffside view.
I got off, and leaned in front of my truck, took out a cancer stick, and lit it.
I looked down to the city.
What the hell is wrong with me?
I asked myself. Then I said it outloud.
"Micheal Ryan Pritchard. What the fuck is wrong with you?"
You're married.
"You are married, and just made out with your bestfriend, who is also married."
Nobody knows.
"...and noone knows."
I inhaled from the cigarette and held the smoke in my mouth and released it from my nose.
Neither of us had kids. Only wives. Of course I loved my Britt.
Billie loved Adie.
What the hell was I feeling?
Did I love Brittney? Did I love Billie?
Did I ever love Brittney?
No-
No! This was done. Just act normal, as if nothing happened, I reassured myself.
Start off clean. Fresh, new slate.
I got in the car again and drove to Billie's house.
We are just friends. We are bandmates, and we are married to our own wives. We are not anything more than friends.
Billie was snoring, still. I shook him and she woke up.
"Billie, you're home."
He looked at his house through the window and nodded sleepily.
"Okay okay." He sat up and leaned towards me, and I pulled away.
"Not right now..." I whispered as if Adie could hear me.
He looked into my eyes for a second and got off the car.
He unlocked his house and walked in. I presume Adrienne hadn't come home yet.
I knew what I was going to do once I go home.
Smoke a bowl, drink a beer, and watch Family Guy.
