Billie sat in the passenger seat in Mike's truck, resting his eyes. He had a bad headache.

"So...." Mike began, turning down the radio. "We're official now?"

Billie nodded. "Yeah. I guess so."

"Tré's gonna meet us at jingletown so we can fill him in. Are you going to tell Adrienne? I'm sure she's worried about you."

Billie sighed.

"....yeah. I will. She'll understand."

They arrived at the recording studio, and Tré's range rover was parked in the middle spot, as always.

They parked a spot over, Billie stepping out after Mike.

The short black haired man took a deep breath as he walked into the building.

"Tré.... w-we need to talk."

The three life-long friends sat down together as they had always did.

Billie's hands were nerve-wracked.

"Uh... Tré, you know Billie and I..."

Billie took the baton.

"We're together."

Tré shrugged with a smile.

"You guys are queer as three dollar bills. Now, I don't care about what you guys got going on as long as it doesn't interfere with our bro ship and our band. Yeah?"

The two men let out a sigh of relief, relief that Tré was okay with their relationship.

"Wait.... what about Adrienne and Brittney?"

"Oh." Mike said, looking down at his hands and scratching his neck.

"Mike and Brittney are no longer an ongoing concern."

Tré sucked air through his teeth and nodded.

"Alrighty then."

Time flew by, they ordered a pizza and Chinese food. It was time to go.

"Billie, do you want to go home to Adie?"

"Yeah. I figure I can't hide from her forever."

They, Mike and Billie, got to Billie's house and Mike dropped him off.

"Adie..?" Billie Joe said, opening the door.

A distraught Adrienne ran to him, hugging him. "Billie, what the hell?"

"God I was worried sick!" She said, sitting him down and making him a coffee.

"Adrienne, we need to talk."

Billie hadn't said those five words in a sentence in a long time. She was nervous.

Had she said something wrong? She thought.

She sat down, taking a deep breath.

"I'm sorry for the other night. Okay, that's out of the way. You know I'm bisexual, right?"

"Yeah, I know."

"See, I uh... I wanted to talk about- us."

"You're breaking up with me?" She asked, her voice breaking.

Billie nodded. "That's the whole idea."

Adrienne sniffled and nodded.

"I get it. You like Mike or Tré right?"

"Mike."

"Oh." Her voice changed from sad to disappointed.

"Did I have something to do with it?" She asked, quietly.

Billie sat next to her and comforted her, rubbing large circles on her back.

"No, Adie. You didn't."

"It's not you it's me, huh?" She said, laughing.

She sighed.

"Divorce?"

Billie nodded.

"Press?"

Billie shrugged.

"Friends?"

Billie smiled. "Of course. Don't make it weird."

Billie threw up awkward finger guns at Adrienne, at the uncomfortable situation.

"Adie, you understand I did love you. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. Okay?"

"Yeah....okay."
