X ducked down a hall way as Natasha cleared the front room, the fluid motion of wrists aiming, pulling the trigger with ease, unflinchingly hitting every target they encountered. One mag was empty, they dropped it to the floor sliding another in from their belt and shooting the two guards who took this chance to rush them in just a fraction of a second. They saw fear in their face, weakness, wondering who X was, if they had a family. X didn't ponder any of this, they were the target, they needed to be killed.
They arrived at a door, Natasha was nowhere to be seen. If she had died in the crossfire so be it, this was just merely the job.
Slam! X slammed their arm in the knob if the door breaking it. The door swung open on its hinges. At the sight beyond it X almost blacked out, images of the young boy on the hospital bed, the pain, the boy screaming. Doctors butchering the boy, injecting needles, testing the healing rate of bone. All their medical talk drowned by the agonized screams of the boy fighting against the straps.
X got off the floor, seeing the empty operating room, the memories fleeing as violently as they came. X would never be that boy again, X would kill everyone who had done that, who preyed upon the weak and innocent. X wandered down the hall they came from listening.
"So you came to kill me?" Asked a female voice with a Russian accent
"Of course sweetheart. That's what I do. They paid higher."
"We have to work together. You dick. Why haven't you killed me already? Do you pity me? Is that it?"
"No, I don't pity you. But you're a fighter. I like that. By the way, you haven't killed me because you can see through the bs, I'm not here to kill you. Just wanted to see what your reaction would be."
"Dick." Replied the Russian.
"Bitch." Replied the voice that was definitely Angel's. "Now let's go find where Lord Kill-o-Lot has gone."
