Frost Bite

     Natasha grinned when she saw angel sprawled in the ground limp. Then she found herself concerned, he was a jackass but he also had helped her through the hall. "What did you do to him?"
      "He's not dead, just wounded. Now where's Jack, she should be here by now. It's most important we regroup."
       "Could you please act like a human for one minute, I forgot you're not. Every bit of you came from a test-tube." Yelled the voice down the hall. "Besides, ere not even deemed a success." Coughing fallowed as Jack stepped into the light.
     Natasha was confused, how could X not be a real human, what did that even mean? A million thoughts rushed through her head.
"I'll have some of my grunts torch the place. The professor isn't here, but this will be a thorn in his side." It was Jin through the ear piece.
      "What's the deal with this professor? What did he do?"
       "He made me, tortured me, programmed me to become the perfect killer. He cut down to bone, added synthetic parts. He made me stronger and faster. I had no parents, just a nurse. She she tried to smuggle me out she was shot, and I felt nothing."
      "He fucked me over on a deal in Argentina, no one screws with me. Not even a rich and powerful bastard. I had worked for him before, seen things, then he tried to kill me."
      "He visited me multiple times, to conduct tests in the facility I was kept in. Also on other prisoners. Treated us like lab rats."
      "And for you Natasha," buzzed the voice over the headpiece, "he had Maria Vashnok killed because her political stances and success in office was a threat to his operation. He then manipulated the government and political systems to burry you."
      Tears suddenly welled up in Natasha's eyes. Suddenly the was in the forest in Russia, clutching the body of her first love. What had started as a crush in high school turned blooming relationship. She was filled with a new emotion, rage at the man who had took everything from her.
