ARRIVAL

Liza's POV
I open my eyes to look out of the window. It's Texas! I can regconise from all the way up here.
I'm home, baby! LIZA IS HOME! With her boyfriend! Speaking of, I glance at him and see him still sleeping. I can't help but give him a kiss on his forehead
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're landing in 5 minutes. Please stay in your seats and fasten your seat belts"
David slowly wakes up and groans by the announcement.
"Good morning babe!..." I smile at him.
"... We're here! Welcome to my hometown!"
"How was your sleep?" He asks me
"I slept well. You?"
"Never better"
I can feel the plane landing. Everything feels like an earthquake which scares me everytime. I grab David's hand and squeeze it tightly.
For a second, he immediatly senses it and holds my hand even tightlier, bringing it to a kiss.
"Thank you!" I say but I cannot even hear my voice since it's too noisy
"You're welcome" He replies
"Ladies and gentlemen, we're finally in Houston, Texas. Please stay in your seats until you're told to unfasten your seatbelts"
The plane has finally stopped and we are now allowed to stand up. We take out luggage and leave the plane. It's a beautiful day! It's not as hot as it is in LA, which makes me excited. After taking the rest of the luggage, we get out of the airport:
"Home!" I mumble
We are lucky enough to borrow a car from David's friend and were told to wait at the airport to meet him.
"Hey guys!" A guy runs up to us
"Liza, meet Jake! He's my friend back when I was in secondary. He moved here three years ago"
"Nice to meet you,... Jake! My name's Liza" I shake his hand
"Nice to meet you too, Liza! David must be a really lucky guy!"
"Yes he sure is!" I say with a smirk and bump into David lightly.
"Well, come on, I'll drive you guys to the hotel"
He helps us carry our bags and suitcases to his car in the parking lot. We get in the backseats and Jake closes the doors.
"Nice car!" David says and wraps his arm around me, looking around.
"Humble!" I whisper into his ears.
"Thanks. It's all yours in the next 3 days"

We're finally at the hotel at last. Our bags are being carried to out room while we get our key at the reception.
"Your room is at 420..."
We let out a giggle
"...and the buffet is opened from 7 to 10 in the morning. If you need anything,..."
"OMG LIZA KOSHY!!!!"
The receptionist is interrupted by someone screaming
"Just stay here Bubba, I'll be right back"
I turn away and walk to a teenage girl. I'm about to say hi when...
"HI!!!!! My name is Maia and I'm your HUGE fan"
Ok obnoxious child... just like me, I like that.
"Nice to meet you sweet heart" I give her a hug
"I can't believe I'm meeting you when I'm about to fly back home now. I really don't want to leave! I love you so much, you're my biggest inspiration!"
"Awee"
"Uh huh!" She nods
"Maia, we really need to leave now"
We both hear a voice from outside of the hotel
"No mom, pleasee, one more minute. Can we take a selfie?"
"Sure!"
"Yayyyy!"
I take a selfie with Maia and give her one last hug
"Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome"
"Bye!" She waves at me as she runs out the door.
I turn around and see David is still standing at the reception, hand tapping on his watch. I walk to him:
"Thanks for being patient!"
He doesn't say anything and we step in the elevator.
