First sight - Diza fanfiction

IGNORANCE

Liza's POV

David and I hold each other's hands and walk out of the hotel. It's cloudy today. The sky is kinda dark. I hope it won't rain since we decided to see the city on foot today.

"Where are we heading to?" David asks me

"Maybe some coffee first?" I suggest. I can't survive a day without a cup of coffee.

"Didn't you have some at the hotel" Ha glances at me

"No. Their coffee sucks" I shake my head

"Ok then"

We end up at Starbucks down the street. We manage to find our seats by the window after getting our drinks, luckily.

I pull out my phone and David instantly looks at me.

"Babe. I'm looking up a place for us to visit today" I ensure him

He sighs and nods. I turn on wifi and my phone just goes off with tons of notifications. It's crazy!

I look up at David and see him calmly sipping his cup of hot coffee. I look back down at my phone and see loads of messages came from Gabbie. Oh and missed calls too.

"If it's Gabbie, she called me this morning so don't worry about her"

How can he read my mind?

I nod and start to search for a place.

"ok got it. Do you want to visit a museum?" I hesitantly ask him

"Please don't tell me it's like the one...."

"in Hawaii..." I finish his sentence with a chuckle

"...Nah. This one is way cooler"

"Ok fine"

"should we go now?" I take the last sip of my coffee

"Yeah!"

We both stand up and walk out of Starbucks.

We walk and walk when we finally reach The Houston Zoo.

"Is this it?" David points to the gate of the zoo

"It should be near here" I look around while dragging David with me. The whole time he stays in silence.

"There we are"

David looks at the sign and read it out loud

"Houston Museum of Natural Science. Sounds cool to me. Have you been here before?"

"Nope" I say popping the 'P'

"Now come on" I pull David hurrily to the ticket box

We ended up spending 2 hours there. It was the coolest esperience ever. David had a great time which was awesome because he doesn't usually enjoy going to museums.
We walk out of the place and the sky is even darker than it was this morning.
"Oh god, it's going to rain" I pout
David gives me a weird look and and just drags my hand and we continue walking.
"Ok well.... oh I remember this road. It leads to my primary school"
"Really?"
"Yeah. But it's kinda far from ....."
"Let's go" He interupts me
As we walk, I can feel a raindrop on my hand. Than two, and three and it starts raining heavily.
"Crap!" David says out loud
There is no place around for us to shelter from the rain. No umbrella in hand. We are too Cali.
"You see!" I yell
"What? The rain? I'm not blind Liza" He yells back, trying hard to hold back a laugh.
"I told you it was not a good idea to keep walking"
"Uhh.... NO YOU DID NOT" He scrunches his eyebrows that are now soaked
We are both wet from head to toe, yelling at each other. I'm not mad, honestly. It's kinda funny to me.
"This is why I told you to....." I haven't finsihed my sentence when David picks me up bridal style and continues walking down the street. I guess that's the only way he can shut me up.
I burry my head into his chest, giggling from the inside. I feel warm and safe. My heart melts at his action. I look up to catch him secretly looking at me, smiling. He immediatly looks away, eyes on the road.
The street is empty. We are the only two dumb kids getting out this time of day.
We reach the destination in no time. He finally puts me down
"You're welcome!" He says and pecks me on the lips.
