Quinn and I slid into a small yellow and red booth in a tiny retro dinner which seemed to be the only thing open and with in walking distance at 6am.

'See Quinn, if I could've gotten ready and was aloud to bring my phone I could've gotten some cute Instagram pics.' I said picking a menu up, even though I wasn't one bit hungry.

'Aww poor Brie, I'm sure she'll find something else to post.' He said pouting at me mockingly.

'Egg,' I said rolling my eyes. 'So Quinn, the mystery man. You have to tell me some things about yourself.'

'Hmm, what do you want to know?' He said leaning in, his fingers dancing across the breakfast menu.

'Well obviously you're not from here.' I said shrugging.

Before Quinn could answer a waiter came over with a small notepad and asked us what we wanted.

'I'll have ahhhh Banana milkshake please.' I said smiling and placing the menu face down on our table. Quinn raised both his bushy brown eyebrows at me.

'That's it?' He asked.

'Yeah I ate earlier.' I lied, I didn't end up eating the McDonald's it was still on my kitchen counter.

'Oh..okay then. I'll have the eggs on toast  with bacon thanks.' Quinn said, 'Oh and a chocolate milkshake.'

The waitress scribbled down our order and swept away to the kitchen.

Colby's POV

I sat on my bed, with my phone in hand;

I thought you looked cute too,

it read. I stared at the screen blankly what had gotten into me?

I dragged my hand down my face and got myself up, even though it hurt more than a bee sting to the eyeball. I took my time going down the stairs using the railing as my support. I made my way through the kitchen grabbing a glass of water and two painkillers. I couldn't get Brie off my mind, I didn't want her on my fucking mind.

This was all her fault. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually kissed Brennen back and just made up this lie to save her own ass.

BANG!

I slammed my fist against the kitchen island, I was thinking crazy I needed to stop and breathe. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath through my noise and out of mouth. I heard the light thuds of footsteps coming down the stairs.

'Are you okay Colby?' A soft voice coming from the big friendly giant said. I smiled and slightly chuckled.

'Not really Aaron.' I sighed resting my body against the kitchen island.

'Hmmm, let me guess. Girl troubles?' Aaron joked quietly.

'That and the hospital said I had 3 broken ribs.' I said shrugging and smiling at Aaron's jaw dropping.

'Man, Colby aren't you glad you have Brie bossing you around?' He said, her name made my stomach churn. Aaron must've noticed though because he quickly began asking questions.

'What happened?' He asked frowning with concern.

'I don't know, she's just being a stupid bitch. Over dramatic, like all the whores in fucking LA!'  I said slamming the glass cup into the sink, I was getting so worked up over nothing.

'Woah Colbs, calm down.' He said raising his hands, 'What did she do?'

'She kissed Brennen back.' I lied, I'm not sure why. 'Bitch.'

I spat before slowly making my way back upstairs, slightly stomping but not too hard or else it'd hurt my ribs. I made my way back to my bed slowly lying down and picking up my phone.  I unlocked it staring at the home screen that Brie had set it too. It was a picture of us two using the little hearts Snapchat filter. I had two Instagram dm's since the last one.

There's a party tomorrow night, we should link up ;)

Um hello?

I smiled, yeah I could do with a party, get away from Brie and all her stupid drama.

Brie's POV

Quinn and I finished our meal and began to walk back home the sun had risen as it was 8:00 am.

'I can't believe we stayed in that little booth for two hours! And I can't believe you come from Canada and play football!' I said still completely shocked.

'Real football.' Quinn added. He was right Real football was better than America football, Dad had brought me up that way.

'Yeah, I agree I've never really understood the American Football thing it's like rugby kinda except with big helmets on.' I said smiling,

'Wait! You know rugby too?!' Quinn yelled bursting with excitement, causing me too laugh uncontrollably.

'Well obviously, my Dad's British and was into it, although he quite liked the All Blacks for some weird reason. 'They're fair.' He'd say.' I giggled at the memory of him lecturing my brother about the All Blacks. Quinn laughed too.

'You're Dad sounds awesome.'

'Yeah he was.' I smiled. Quinn looked at me realising the reality of what happened to my Dad. 'Shit, Brie I'm sorry,' He said sympathetically.

'It's cool,' I said quickly changing the subject. 'So how do you know about football and rugby anyway  you're Canadian so I thought you'd know about like ice hockey or something.'

'Such a stereotype.' Quinn said rolling his eyes, we chatted a bit more as we walked into our apartment building first stop was Quinn's apartment. I gave a quick hug and said goodbye before pressing the elevator button to my floor; number 6.

I opened my unlocked apartment and my gaze immediately turning to my phone which was sitting on the glass coffee table. I quickly paced toward it and picked it up letting the cool metal prick my warm skin, I slowly pressed the home button which automatically unlocked because of touch id. 23 text messages and 3 missed calls all from the same person; the one and only Colby Brock. The last message read;

I fucking called it Brie. Why did you do it? Why did you kiss Brennen back? You put me through hell and back. This is your fault! I wish I never fucking met you.
