I had Colby's present in my hands, I was wearing a long sleeved, pale pink, skin tight dress it kept rubbing against the wounds on my wrists.

My eyes were still irritated and red, from the crying and no sleep.

Noah was gone. He was being taken to Texas at this very moment by my stupid Aunt Marie and Uncle Jack. He didn't want to leave, everybody knew that. He was getting better here too. But they still took him

I only got a quick hug goodbye.

"I'll get you back." I whispered in his ear before letting him go watching him walk out of the door with all his luggage as if he was never coming back, I had to choke back the tears.

Noah was newly 17 so he wasn't old enough to make decisions for himself yet because he wasn't an 'adult' but Noah and I both knew what Noah wanted. It was to be here. In LA, where he belonged.

I hadn't slept all night, by 3am I was in the bath. With a blade, doing things that I know I shouldn't but it was the only way to ease the pain.

I shook all of the negative thoughts out of my head, and started to head toward the front door of the trap house. I could already hear the music thumping loudly.

I promised Colby I'd come even though I was icky with him over fucking other girls. I was only mad because I thought we were on our way to getting back together but I guess not.

But I didn't have the energy to deal with Colby if I didn't show up. Heck I barely had the energy to deal with Colby at the party.

I had a plan to pop in and drop Colby's present to him and then leave. I'm sure it was possible because I knew no one that was going to be at this party.

I let myself in and the music only got louder, instantly giving me a headache. It was some rap music that I assume one of the boys put on, probably Corey.

I squeezed my eyes shut and sucked in a deep breath preparing myself for the crowd before opening again.

As soon as I opened my eyes I saw Sam in the kitchen playing around with drinks, I half jogged over to him.

"Brie!" Same exclaimed, he was already half drunk. A small amused smile appeared on my face.

He leaned in to give me a hug to which I accepted, his grip around me was firm and he was practically leaning on me.

"I'm sorry." He half slurred half mumbled into my ear. "About your..."

"Thanks, Sam." I pulled out of the hug, feeling uncomfortable about the conversation of my mum coming up. "Have you seen Colby?"

Sam frowned and looked around the room, swaying a bit even though he was standing still. He pointed upstairs.

"He's...upstairs!" Sam slurred as he smiled but then frowned again. "No...downstairs!"

Drunk people were always so loud.

"No the toilet!" Sam exclaimed cracking up laughing at his stupid joke. I rolled my eyes with a small smile and went on the hunt for Colby.

Drop off the present and go home.

I thought to myself as I pushed through the loads of people to find Colby.

I found myself in the living room which was packed full of people using it as a dance floor, I couldn't see Colby anywhere.

Joys of being tall.
